I am currently playing around with the auto on/off timer for when I go on holiday.
I have set it to go off at 2:55 AM and to come on BBC1 at 3:05 AM (so that the HDR can perform its 3:00 house keeping). I should therefore be really unlucky if a powercut were to strike in this 10 minute window (causing the HDR to not record anything).
Anyway onto the query. When you set the HDR to switch on automatically and you are not around what happens if the EPG lineup changes? Do you get the re-scan prompt? Does it do it automatically and save the changes?
Anyone know?

. I like the thinking, to test need somebody not to switch on manually till the next day after a auto rescan. You might like to post this on Hummy.org. Barry a moderator runs 2 hdrs and he might like to test this one.
