Just looked at the schedule and I think the only competition for next week is Kelly Clarkson and Pixie Lott.

October 5
Chipmunk: 'Oopsy Daisy'
Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne: 'Down'
Jordin Sparks: 'SOS (Let The Music Play)'
Mr Hudson: 'White Lies'
The Saturdays: 'Forever Is Over'
Whitney Houston: 'Million Dollar Bill'

This looks a highly competitive week. I'm sure Leona and Alexandra will be releasing a couple of weeks after this?

i didn't mean just in terms of no.1. there's new releases by Mika, Muse, and Mini Viva, as well as Pixie Lott. i reckon they will all make the top 10 at least, so that should shake up the chart quite a bit, that's what i meant.

Run This Town up to #1. Sugababes down to #2.

Run This Town lead is increasing a lot too.. but you can only download the single, no remix EP, or physical etc so.....

The 'babes could still get another #1 as their EP is 11 on the Itunes album chart, which counts as 5 single sales doesn't it? Well I'm guessing it does from reading this article. Their physical is out too, still #1 on Amazon etc.

I'm thrilled that Get Sexy is selling so well. Bloody Jay-Z!!! Still, when No Can Do was released last year, they were number 50-something on iTunes, but with combined physical sales managed to get to number 23, so the physical sales might just swing it for them.

I've bought the single 4 tracks + free poster all for £1.99 is a bargain. This is how all singles should be!! Forget about them pathetic 2tracks

I really hope it gets to #1.

I love to be always right. I knew it would be a hit even when 90% of people hated it and not 95% of people love it. The babes are back

Sure, it's a hit - but the babes are alienating their fanbase bigtime.

Omg, that This Morning is woeful (apart from Amelle, maybe) whoever's their choreographer needs a kick up the bum. Eight beats of 'shoulder side to side' during the chorus is not dancing, especially considering that part was mimed.

They're on their way to getting another Top 3 hit. How is that alienating their fanbase? I say they've probably gained lots of new ones.

They are a lot more commercial now, they were a credible group before.

They are still number 1 but Jay Z looks set to overtake them in time for tomorrows mid weeks.

I think it'll be extremely close. I'd love them to be #1 though.

Does anyone know where Dollyrockers new single is? Last I heard was 38 which is too high for them.

I agree. I doubt many of their old time fans actually like this song, but are purchasing it out of loyalty. I hope it misses out on #1. It might make the Babes reconsider that releasing such contrived tripe isn't enough to get them a #1 but alas looks like they'll get their way.

I'm sorry, but I fail to understand your argument. This "contrived tripe" as you called it is going to get them to the top of the charts whereas a more credible sounding album like Catfights and Spotlights didn't. It seems like the Sugababes can't win: if they're commercial, they're accused of selling out; if they release something different than the norm (No Can Do, for example), they're accused of being past it and that they've had their day. I just don't get it.

Exactly. Even the babes have commented on that! They're only 200 or so sales between them and Jay Z.
