They've been on alot of Radio today, not sure if it will help but anythings a plus...the only thing the Sugababes have left really to save them is saturdays strong physical sales, These are the times when I wish Woolworths and Zavvi were still around, if you want to buy a CD single you have to search long and hard

I want to buy it but supermarkets don't sell them.

Same here. I though it was absolute tripe, but I really like it now.

Why am I not surprised!

Have to say, though, am loving Run This Town as well, so I don't really mind who gets number 1.

Is there really that much caché in getting to number 1 these days anyway? The way the music charts work at the minute I thought how long a song hung around for was a better indicator of success than it's top chart position.

I like their music that's all.

True it is all about sales. Sugababes might have a #2 but in the long run sell more than Jay Z's #1.

Unfortunately they have no chance of being #1, Jay-Z's lead is getting bigger all the time

I doubt they will, Run This Town hasnt even been on commercial radio as much or on video channels as much as GS.
Radio Airplay: GS No.12 RTT No.40
Videoplay : GSNo.9 RTT No.10

They have not reached the majority of the masses yet, but the selling power of Rihanna will keep them ahead.

Maybe on Itunes but the Sugababes will still have sold more than Sexy Bitch because their CD is out too on combined sales.

I said next week This week he's too far behind.

I think alot of people have to realise that physicals sell nothing these days... The Sugas will be lucky to sell 1500 CDs this week. The only songs which do well with CDs are Charity or Talent show ones, as they are stocked everywhere. The only real place you can get singles these days is HMV, and they are normally shunted at the back, as no one wants them.

Downloads, and iTunes (which is 70%) rule the roost, they will fall next week below SB, that's a FACT!

It was on Buzzjack earlier!

1 Jay-Z/Rihanna/Kanye 39.8k
2 Sugababes 38.1k (1769 behind)
3 David Guetta 31.4k
4 Dizzee Rascal 30.7k
5 Black Eyed Peas 22.5k (thanks RyRy)

They made up 2K on them, on the slowest day for sales of the week- Wednesday!

They will win the race by about 8 or 9,000 copies.

They are cruising to no.1 (RTT), and that horrible performance on this morning never helped the Sugas get close to them on iTunes. The game is up, they will be no.2 on Sunday!

*In relation to Sexy Bitch, it is climbing again, it is now no.2 (combined) when you added up the entries at no.3 and no.31. It will be the only challenge to RTT this town NEXT week!

Either way #2 is good. or it could be #3 by Sunday?

Guetta will close but i doubt he will get there tbh!

But, even looking at differences in sales between 1 and 2, and 2 and 3....there would be more chance of SB overtaking GS, than of GS overtaking RTT.

However, Sunday's chart will be

1) Jay Z
2) Sugababes
3) Guetta

nb. the power of Rihanna cos without her (if she was replaced with a random singer), i doubt it would have done half as well!

True lol. The performance on This Morning was especially Heidi!

But the Sugababes could be still be #1 if they have a sudden surge in sales!?

Yes, Heidi was beyond dreadful! I felt sorry for her! The new super sexy image and having to gyrate, doesnt work for her!

It's not gonna happen Taz, they falling away and not gaining on RTT. There is NO chance!

p.s. a sales surge isn't gonna spring up out of nowhere, even after their 'performance', Jay Z still continued to increase his lead, which doesnt normally happen the day of some promotion. You would expect it to have got a bit closer, on Tuesday and Weds and then started to fall away a bit after the effect of the performance starts to fade!

Have they got any more promotion??

At present the only way GS will be no.1 is if RTT is deleted off iTunes!

It's not like the song's flopped, so everyone needs to calm down. It'll probably be no. 2 on Sunday.

I really can't understand the appeal of this song...it samples Right Said Fred....Right Said Fred!!!! What credible musician would sample Right Said Fred. Having said that, even without that, it is still tripe. I can't believe so many people like it!!!!

i llove everything the sugababes do. i heard a really good remix of it recently. it's called the "Hadouken! Remix" coz it was by a band named Hadouken! i checked them out and they're actually pretty good imo.

you can download the "Get Sexy (Hadouken! Remix)" and a track by Hadouken called "M.A.D." here.

Unfortunately within the next 36hrs, this song will have fallen to no.5 on iTunes, cos Dizzee and BEPs are closing on them [the song is falling away now....]. With Pixie Lott coming next week too....they will be out of the top 5, after one week at no.2!

No, it's just a consistent seller!

The way iTunes looks at the moment...i predict the race to no.1 will be between Sexy Bitch and Boys and Girls!
