But will people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s be buying Bad Boys like how they bought the ballads such as Hallelujah and Bleeding Love?

Because that was why their singles sales were so high.

So much for claiming I know nothing. I can really see Grannies saying, 'oh I MUST buy Bad Boys!'
HAHAHAA

You just owned him!

Bad Boys is pretty crap. Its just Get Sexy with words but without the killer beat. Flo is shite. So I'm surprised to see someone who dislikes Get Sexy being so sure Bad Boys will sell in excess of 100k in its first week of release.

Anyone seeing the pattern here

Girls Aloud fan alert, hiding under the 'I like Sugababes too' line

They are not gonna stock the same amount obviously! Maybe i should clarify that it will be extra ground where these copies are, which will gain extra sales, like it or not! I was stating a fact!

Last yr I think they said half a million CDs were sent out of Alex, do you really think they will do that this year
Make up your mind! You said it was going to sell 100k during the week. now since I pointed out over 25s won't bother with it you are saying 'oh well it might not be fact'

Just owned who, I didnt say they would be loads buying it from the supermarkets, I just said it would be available there! Which does give it an extra advantage cos they will get extra sales from there. I said it, as I dont want that to be used as an excuse as to why Robbie lost.

"Oh he was only in HMV
She was in HMV and all the supermarkets!" I can see it now, when the result is announced!

I said they 500k CDs to the supermarkets, retailer etc! An obviously it's not a winner's single so they wont send that many, hence what I was trying to get at!

I have said oh well it might not be a fact anywhere!

I have said Alex will sell 100K plus, closer to 150K

FFS JLS even sold 104K and promoted on one show that week

Robbie wont sell 100K.

Does this make my stance clearer!

This doesnt indicate in anyway that i think it will be close. But, I know how some of you are, you will Reggie/Fearne etc say it was close, or Moyles, Mills take your pick and believe it without hard figure!

i do find it funny how you have yet to come back with the under 25 vs over 25 percentages' shape of the chart! I have also noticed, you lot have talked alot, but not once have you shown me a figure (stats) or anything to add weight to any of your arguments!

No because Bad Boys doesn't have the appeal of JLS.

Infact I think Bad Boys will not go down to well with the over 25s whereas Leona won over all the over 25s and got the under 25s to love her. Like wise with JLS.

She will not sell 100k.

But then Robbie won't either yet I NEVER claimed he would. I said don't underrestimate his fanbase. Of course Robbie has the bonus factor that he is a male.

You have quoted your own post!

As for the under 25s and over 25s. Yes its valid. X Factor gets 12 million viewers. Those who don't normally buy music buy it from the X Factor stars. Leona has had so much success with her ballads because over 25s, 30s, 40s ,50s and 60s all could relate so bought when released.

Forgive Me didn't do as well because the over 25s and above couldn't relate to it, Whereas the ballads they can.

Its simple market tools at work and something Leona knows how to play.

For someone who keeps telling me I know nothing I seem to know more about the business end of it than you.

And on that note I'm off for the night.

Forgive Me was rubbish, and loads of people had it months before it came!

I asked for a percentage kindly of how the chart is shaped by under 25 compared to the over 25, and who makes up more than 80% of the sales each week in the singles! That was all! The answer the under 25s dominate hugely!

Yes we XFactor songs some grannies go out and buy them, but they can buy this single for a young relative...hence why they will still sell a decent amount in the supermarket hun!

I just think most people will find it wont be much of a battle, cos most of Robbie's fanbase will support just the album, which will sell 1 million copies before crimbo! x

Taz, go look at what I said!

I said they would be at no.6 (or possibly lower) in the chart this week! And that they wouldnt last long in the top 10 at all!
No one has yet asked how long is my "wouldnt last long" in weeks, did i give a number!

I will give you one now! I think 4 weeks in the top 10 MAX!

p.s. 4 weeks isnt a long time in the top 10, anymore lol!

If you look at iTunes popularity, it is falling away. There is now a gap between it and the BEPs and Dizzee . It won't last long in the top 10 at all. It's gonna fall to no.6 next week for a fact (if not lower).

If it was going to hang around and climb, it would have been alot more consistent than it has been. It would risen high and then stabilized. It never stablized, it is in freefall. It continues to drop, it does not look like a constant seller at all!

It will NEVER rise to no.2 again, lmao every week is full of new releases, and it aint gonna rise passed the old favourite the BEPs either!

I just hope people dont blame Amelle for this, as she sings most of the song!

After observing the charts for years, Im sure this song wont sell much beyond it's first 2 weeks in all honesty!
What I said!

Well I guess when they had the option of no.6 or lower, they chose lower Taz! No.8, last week in the top 10 then (unless they can pass Mika and Mini Viva), with Madonna, Shakira and Taio, definites to go past tbh! Oh well roll on the next single!

Get sexy does not seem to be lasting long. I bet the final sales overall will be just under 100k which is bad compared to Girls which did better in staying in the top 10 then this.

It wont but I said that and was criticised

It will sell more than 100k!

It sold 55k last week probably about 30k (just a guess), so it should make it to about 150k tbh!

Aww well that's not bad. But i don't know why it's falling quick. It's a wicked tune and for me as a fan, this has been added to my list of my Babes fav songs of their career.

I have three Babes albums (actually it might be two!!) and I still loathe this single. Number 8 on its 2nd week is not what they would be after when they were hoping for a number 1 last week.

It looks like a classic example of the dedicated fans going out and buying it within 24 hours of its release.

In fact, it's only 4 chart slots ahead of Tinchy Strider and Amelle's track, which has been out for weeks, and will probably fall behind it next week. Better not tell Keisha that.......

Make that 27, 508 copies of GS sold this week!

Pixie sold just under 50k for no.1, again I predicted her result selling under 60k, despite the RedOne production (as some had claimed ) And only 1,100 copies ahead of Guetta in the end, compared to a 5k lead on Tuesday!

And they tell me I know nothing!

Just been looking at the single sales in Sunday's chart. If Sugababes had released this song last week instead of the week before they would have been number outright. They sold more than Pixie did to get her number one....

So hardly a flop. Just a bad release week.

At the end of the day, Get Sexy proved that the Sugababes are still relevant and capable of producing hit singles. It might not have been number one, but it's hardly a flop.

I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable about the charts as delectable, but might the sudden controversy in the Sugababes camp cause a tiny spike in sales this week?

You might be correct about this. We'll see just how much they've bounced back when the album comes out - that's if they haven't completely self-destructed by then.

They might just squeak that final week in the top 10, as they are battling Mika who is flopping badly, lol!

Yesterday they were no.11, today no. 10....it's so close but Mika is nosediving on iTunes lol, so they should stay there....the press has helped slightly too!

A couple of hours, they were number nine and the BEP had fallen out of the top 10. But I just checked again and they're still clinging on at number ten.

You must have a bad feed, cos the BEPs have been at no.7 since Madonna passed them yesterday...they are easily ahead of the Sugas!

The good news is that Mika is dying alot faster than GS...his album is gonna flop hard! Good riddance lol!
