Hey LLd! Great to speak again! I haven't watched XF this year before last night so I can't comment on Lucie other than last night. I can't imagine I would have hooked into her the way I did Diana although she didn't deserve to go home. Glad you got to see LV! Are you really as upset as when Diana went out?!

i think its more to do with the fact its very early in the competition and the fact she went against jedward

i wanted to not have a favourite this year but from lucies first audition i loved her, the same as with diana! i think i am as upset as when diana went, maybe slightly more emotional with diana going- i cried more!! i think with lucie im more shocked because i thought the twins would go- well until deadlock anyway! but i will never forget that diana was the first person ever on x factor to really make me go wow and support her- still love her now! and lucie is probably the last lol!!
yeah LV was amazing, going to try and see it again although im meant to be trying to save oney what wit hbeing a student now lol!! you going to see it??

I would like to go but it's a long way and a lot of money. If any of my friends wanted to go as well I would do it, my daughter would go for a freebie to London but that would cost me twice as much!

i still have the cd of all dianas performances in my car which i listen to some times and yeah still love them all- apart from her final white flag still cant listen to that!! her final song in LV gave me goosebumps and brought a massive lump to my throat- dont think i will ever stop being moved so much by her voice!!

aww yeah! it cost enough for me to go up there and its only about an hour and a bit by train! that cost nearly £30 plus we went up for the day so did quite a bit of shopping lol!!!

Glad Diana has managed to keep laying down tracks for her Album.

Now that rehearsing for the show has stopped I was able to go back in to the studio the other day and lay down another new track for the album. Aaaah it excites me just thinking about it! Well I must dash.. Mr Addison Lee car has arrived! hopefully a good couple of shows today. Woo woo!

Diana Vickers gets standing ovation from her old Blackburn school
2:24pm Tuesday 10th November 2009

AROUND 200 pupils travelled to London to see their friend Diana Vickers take to the West End stage at the weekend.

The youngsters from Westholme School in Blackburn, where Diana used to be a pupil, enjoyed VIP treatment at the Vaudeville Theatre, in the Strand, as they watched her new show ‘The Rise and Fall of Little Voice’.

Diana, who found fame as a finalist in last year’s X Factor, has won rave reviews for her role in the show.

She was given a standing ovation by the group and was mobbed for autographs as she joined them for photographs after the show.

Diana said: “It was so nerve racking performing in front of my old school, but it was such an amazing feeling.

"It was exciting and I could feel my heart pounding all the way through the show, but they gave me such an amazing reception and ovation. It was just as exciting as the first night!”

Megan Cooper, 18, drama captain at the school, said: “The show was unbeli-evable. Diana is an insp-iration to all of us and shows us that dreams really can come true.”

School principal Lillian Croston said: “It was a wonderful show and Diana was a star. It is hard to believe that she is here in the West End just 12 months after leaving our school.”

Cath Roberts, head of drama, said: “Diana was absolutely incredible.”

Diana, who grew up in Blackburn but moved with her family to Huncoat, plays a reclusive girl named Laura, who lives with her mother Mari (Lesley Sharp) in the north of England, but dreams of being a star.

Good to see some of the old DeeVotees/DVATers/whatever we used to call ourselves back on here, although I agree that it is 'good to see the new guys keeping the thread going.' Well done Hicky

I will try and post some more, certainly - it's trying to find the time to do so! Still, a good hobby to have!

I know you guys kept this thread going through thick and thin, I used to read it, but didn't post, there was enough of you without me.

I know there's a lot can't post, but you can always read.
And I'm sure Diana would want it to carry on.

Yes - I'm going to have to find the clip on youtube as well! Since I've started uni, I'm having to depend on youtube to watch things like this which I would otherwise miss!
