This was the original link which shows that at least it was there! It wasn't a mistake as it was accompanied by a good review and link. It was posted on d-v.c but I think only 3 or 4 peeps saw it, as the poster (probably wisely)had second thoughts, contacted the site editor and had it removed. You should have all got up earlier!
You may think it doesn't really matter as it will be on Radio 1 tomorrow, but that will be streaming only whereas this was downloadable mp3!

I would add that the song starts with four single notes (i'm not even sure if its string or keyboard) then moves into keyboard and drum, getting heavier before Dee sings, first verse then chorus with heavy musical backing like demo at 56 ish secs, then verse followed by chorus and 2nd heavy backing at 1.47 ish. Then verse followed by keyboard break then chorus verse/heavy music at 2.38 ish (the already previewed demo bit) with keyboard fade. I'll never work for NME but hope this whets your appetite.

Last day of Little Voice today - went to matinee. Diana was brilliant. Everyone else was having even more fun playing up their parts - Mark (Ray Say) and Lesley (mother) and Mr Boo the club owner corpsed themselves into laughing but Diana just stayed totally in character as LV while this went on around her. She's got real acting ability, how she stays in the role throughout is very impressive and she commands the silences beautifully. She's got real presence on a stage and she's also perfected and controlled her gestures - both of which may be useful in her singing career. She was really good earlier in the run but if anything she's got even better.

I was a bit worried what all that singing and particularly the belting would do to her voice but today she was at 110% - perhaps because it was her last day. If she was tired she did'nt look it. If anything she's gained power and perfected a few of the impersonations a bit more - she's really, really got Julie Andrews now and went to town on her as well as the usual Monroe, Piaf and Bassey. Diana got emotional in "Sunlight" just before her stool rose from the stage - probably as she realised she only had one more chance to do it, but like a true pro she got through it and carried on singing. A lot of effort and training have brought out a lot of ability to do a wide range of things with her voice and you just wonder how she can use that in her singing career too.

Not sure what she could do next but she's got a real talent for acting. Listening to her singing Garland and the excerpts from Wizard of Oz in her attack on Ray and just looking at her in her pigtails, if the soprano notes are in her range and she can do a US accent, Lloyd Webber will be hard put to find a better Dorothy in his next TV series.

Hope she does get the whatsonstage newcomer award and isn't pushed into second by the Sister Act Campaign - she's been a trooper in her first big job and she's deserved the amazing ovations she's been getting . She deserves some recognition for what she's accomplished.

That play must have been a real wakeup call, so much is needed to do so many shows a week.

It would be lovely for her to get an award, but some people go for years and don't get one, so it's only new to her.

I think some big name will want to snaffle her up, she really is a gem and they are hard to come by.

it would be great if you did not try and pm it at all. I was the person who got the editor of that website to remove it from the web at 9.30 this morning . I had only made reference to the article and copied in the text (but had purposely NOT posted a link as I said some people may have preferred to listen to radio and if anyone really wanted to hear it they should search for it themselves) as the article said it was a streamed version and Not downloadable but a helpful fan then highlighted that when he located the article you could in fact dowload it. As soon as I was told this I removed any reference to this site even though no link given. I then contacted the editor, told him his streaming controls were not effective and got it removed. Given the effort to do so promptly (of which you were aware. and you know we did not want to highlight it I would have rather hoped you would keep quiet and not be trying to send it around. Why?????? when you know the effort involved??? If you have downloaded it, as it is good quality ,I suggest you delete it or at least most definitely do not forward it to anyone (you may be breaching law i would suggest if you actively offer to distribute this to people as well as potentially harming diana.) You did say on dv.com you would noy distribute but then on here you are saying you are trying to work it out.
It was in fact a positive thing to refer to the article in my post at 3am last night because someone was able to highlight it was downloadable and it was removed by 9.30am. Otherwise it would be sitting in a lot of people emails where i first saw it at 2.40am last night (anyone who has diana vickers as google alert) and the website says it is very popular in northern ireland and there was at least one comment on the stream.

I did not dowload it as it said it was a stream but I did listen to it 20 times between 3am and 4am and LOVED it. Verses sound great as does intro and close and her voice is wicked. It did mean that i got no sleep.

Well done to you, dvfan, for preventing this 'possible leak' of Diana's first single.

I am, however, extremely disappointed that those that managed to download it, are openly discussing it, and trying to post links for others to have access to it.

Just by posting about giving out links, to an unreleased, copywrited song, could be leaving you wide open to a lawsuit.

I certainly hope that Diana's management or RCA, don't read this thread, or get to hear about it.

It's sad really, that should the song be leaked, before it's released, that it might be because of the irresponsible actions of Diana's, supposedly, faithful fans.

This is really OTT Caytom! Firstly I don't think anybody could justifiy calling me a unfaithful fan. I have not openly offered the song, merely to one longstanding and trusted member! Anyone who thinks that 'Once' will not be all over the web after it's airplay on Radio 1 tonight is naive beyond belief! Virtually every track released today is leaked before official release, unfortunately it's the way of the world and offering one fan the chance to hear it the day before it is played to the nation is hardly going to damage Diana's career!

I disagree . I do not think you should pass it on to even one person cos then it just keeps getting passed on. The ones on youtube will prob be of lesser quality.

I can't understand why the track has been circulated all round the country so far in advance of it being released, no wonder they don't make any money out of releasing a single.

By the time it's rel;eased all those that are interested will have heard it anyway, so not sure who is going to pay for it after that.

But as I said earlier, it's just publicity for her Album which I hope does well.

Will try and catch the Radio 1 play of 'Once' tonight anyway.

omg my train just broke down for 59 minutes! I was screwing. SOOOO thought I was going to miss it was having such a panic.
