Question - Dee sings "Once" in the Diana style that we all remember from XF. I suspect that it was recorded before LV. During LV Dee has had voice training and coaching to sing strongly in the different impersonations and she sang "Sunlight" without the little "Marmite" features that we love and others hate. So the question is - when she sings live now, will she sing "Once" in the XF voice or in a new clearer stronger voice?
I guess she will stick to the recorded version otherwise they would (and may yet do due to original being widely available) have re-recorded it.

Dunno Claire, but I'll check it out in Tescos later.
Haven't you been in trouble before for reading womens mags in stores?

That made me LOL dot. Good one!

Just had a smart **** on the main forum asking why Diana was saying she's only let us kill her once when she's murdered plenty of songs! What cheek.

Put her right by explaining to her what I think the song means, maybe I'm wrong in my interpretation but that's how I understand it anyway!

Well I love her little vocal quirks, so while I accept that her voice will mature, I obviously hope that she won't lose them entirely. As for most of us, they were largely what drew me to her in the first place. Those and the fact I perceived her to be such a nice person, something that I imagine won't change.

Incidentally, DS' review of Once is written from the viewpoint that Diana's West End activities haven't changed her distinctive sound. Is it possible that Diana recorded the vocal during LV rather than before it?

Blimey, what a memory! Sadly, I did pass through an embarrassing phase of taking notes from such august journals as Heat, Closer, et al, with no more noble purpose than impressing rayforever

I'm still around a bit even though I'm super busy but I've been keeping up-to-date just since I've been back.

I did go and see Little Voice a couple of weeks a go and it was amazing even though I didn't have the best seats due to late booking

I am really looking forward to the publicity machine getting going for her album and getting to see her on TV shows again and stuff though. And it looks like her music video is being shot today from her twitter so hopefully the buzz will keep building.

Video shoot! Exciting!

Is there definately a physical release for the single? And any news on a B-side? For it to premiere so early I think there must be a B-side.

I have it on good authority that it's an - as yet - unleaked track, Poxette.

Do they still have 'B' sides?

Didn't realise that, sometimes they put about 4 versions of the same song on the disc don't they.
Not sure about a different song.

OMG it's really starting to kick off now + I love that people's comments suggest Diana's popularity has held up brilliantly.

I think I would literally die on the spot is that were true!

4 remix versions is the usual nowadays but B-sides still exist. JLS and Alexandra have done them, Leona nearly always does them. Avril Lavigne and The Saturdays are amoung non-XF contestants that do a lot of B-sides, as well as Girls Aloud! Lady GaGa has done a couple. Cheryl Cole (often better than the actual single! See 'Boys' the B-side to '3 Words').

Um.. who else? Ohhhh Ellie Goulding!

On that note, I really find it upsetting Diana and Ellie seem to be pitted against each other ATM. I know they're similar but from what I gather Ellie and Diana are really good friends (Diana expressed she was very proud of Ellie in her Radio 1 interview). I hope it doesn't make things uncomfortable for them! I love them both

That cover for the sampler is really nice. Simple but effective and I think it captures Diana's personality well. People over on D-V.com are saying it's boring but I really like it!
