I saw her at the M.E.N on the 15th and she really was incredible! The whole area were on their feet by the end. Spector were a brilliant supporting act as well.

Can't believe I never got round to posting about it, but I saw Florence at the MEN on 15th March, and it was just incredible. If anyone here is ever unsure about going to see her, just do it. I had one of the greatest nights of my life (largely for other reasons that coincided with Florence, admittedly ) and you won't be disappointed!

It's taken me a long time to get into her music but I've just ordered Between Two Lungs.

Forgot about this thread! Ah I'm rather unhappy about this Florence/Calvin Harris partnership that seems to be developing, I hope she doesn't sell out completely to his "sound" I much prefer the original version of Spectrum to his Say My Name remix

I understand what you mean but Spectrum remix was never meant to be a 'thing'. Calvin approached Florence for 'Sweet Nothing' and she wanted something back in return - a remix for the release of the original Spectrum. And then that remix went to number one because dance music is popular in the UK right now and it's a great remix imho.

I don't like 'Sweet Nothing' though and I hope she doesn't sell herself out like Sia did. I don't think she will though.

Florence said she was interested in doing a house project a while back, but it would be similar to her normal sound and at it's most dancy in the vein of the Spectrum remix. But I'm not sure if this will happen now she's taking a year hiatus once she's finished all her gigs/this era up. I love the Spectrum remix but Sweet Nothing doesn't do much for me.

There is a thread in the main music forum with claims that she is going to be taking a break. How do you all feel about this? I don't think that it is a bad thing. That way she won't be overexposed like some other acts.

My copy of Between Two Lungs arrived this morning. I think that everyone is going out in a bit so I'm going to listen to it properly then. I really like "I'm Not Calling You A Liar"

As i mentinedd Mimi not to sound like i'm being a msuic snob but she isn't Rihanna, Jessie J etc she has a specific sound and identity and was rather lucky to have crossed over in such a massive way and with two hugely successful albums it'd be better for her to go away now take a break and decide how best to progress and anyway people forget there was 2 and a half years between Lungs and Ceremonials so it will only serve to strengthen her.

I love Lungs too favourties Between Two Lungs, Cosmic Love, Blinding, My Boy Builds Coffins, Howl in fact the entire thing if im honest

I like the fact that she takes time between releases. I do like Rihanna but she is so overexposed. I'm not excited by her music anymore. I never got the hype with Jessie J either.

Exactly there may not be a world of difference between Lungs and Cremonials but each has a seperate feel and identity and shows the progression that she went through touring Lungs etc so with time away who knows what ideas she could potentially come up with i got so excited waiting for both albums as she took her time and let hype build gradually.

And it's the best way play it lud and sing along its what i do

After listening to the album for a week, Lungs (Between Two Lungs is the version that I have) is a firm favourite of mine.

Ihink i mu have listened to Lungs solidly for 2 years non stop its a fantastic album so many facets you can never quite get bored

Will you be getting Ceremonials ? (if you do i suggest the Deluxe its worth the extra disc )

I will be buying Ceremonials at some point. I'm trying to be good with my money. Got a couple of weeks before I'm paid again.

Also, there is going to be a tour in December. Does anybody have tickets?
