I had this problem when I got my card [was Setanta then]. On the day it arrived I put it in following the instructions and the card wasnt activated. I rang BT who told me 48 hours. I didn't believe them so I played about with the BTV box for a bit (I'd only just got BTV so had a look to see how to work things, etc...).

Anyway, a couple of hours pass and I decide to try again - still not activated. I rang again and got told to leave it tuned into setanta (now espn of course) for up to 5 hours and it would work. I thought this was just rubbish being read off a computer screen so I looked on internet (cant remember where now) and found a method of getting it working.

Cant remember the exact details but it was along the lines of:

Take card out
Turn off box at plug
Put card in
Turn back on again
Tune to Setanta
Put box in standby
Turn back on
Suprisingly it worked and I've had no problems recieving setanta/espn ever since

Hi sachlislar

Can't say fairer than that sachlislar. I am actually looking at getting BT Vision as I have had enough of Sky.
