More Rachel bashing on BBBM.

DISGUSTING.

I know even she won't be bothered by it all and brush it off easily but it really annoys me!

Nothing surprises me with that lot. I only watch any BB related show when my old favourites are on.

Honestly, in stark contrast to last year, I haven't watched any Big Brother this year and yet I'm not at all surpised to hear about the bias and attacks against Rachel.

The bias was terrible last year WHILE she was in the house, with both the presenters and producers going against her - it was only the live feed that exposed it and gave us a chance to really get to see what Rachel and the other HM's were like. Hell, I think I've still got a bunch of LF footage from last year left over from recording and capping just to keep people upto date with what was actually going on. It was a constant uphill battle trying to show what was actually going on and what Rachel was upto as opposed to the heavily edited and biassed view the HL shows put out.

They even treated her poorly when she won and the whole show came across bitter and resentful that they hadn't been able to rig it. That pretty much says it all, really.

No point getting wound up over it though. Rachel was a damn good HM, made the show for many, and was voted winner in spite of the bias against her. That's a better and more impressive win than most. As for BB, the producers and presenters are getting what they deserve - mediocrity and a show that's dead in the water with nobody to blame but themselves.

So, one year on.. well done Rachel, and thanks for last year

Amen to that.

It's been exactly a year also since I joined DS. I've been on forums before, but nothing as combative as this and it's been quite an experience. Only found this place after Iain Lee featured Rachel's Health and Beauty page on BBLB with the link to here, so I'm not a veteran of the "Battle of BB9."

For me, this year's BB has had its moments, but come the Final I wasn't hugely bothered and didn't even watch all of the programme. I do think the lack of proper LF reduced audience involvement and this is reflected in the ratings.

So it's down to Rachel that I'm here at all, and I want to thank her for that and for making BB9 such an wonderful experience for me.

Rachel winning was a joy - but even if Mikey had edged her to the prize, I wouldn't be thinking one particle the less of Rachel.

Rachel hasn't done anything to them that you aren't aware of apart from possibly winning BB instead of Rex. BBBM actually asked her to go up and do that sketch for them - it was exactly as they described it to us so they hadn't changed it because she said no. She was moving home that weekend and she's teaching now so can't take time off from school and to be honest after that previous sketch I'm glad that she turned them down. She was gutted that she couldn't make the BBLB final night either though as she would have liked to have done that. Thing is you can't be at the studio in London for 4.00pm when you are teaching until 3.30pm in Wales.

As for Twitter well a lot of those posts are made by Luke fans so no surprises there.
Agreed. Though i am surprised at how many fans he has considering he was only in there for a month and was very very annoying.

If BB wanted Rex to win, they sure did a very bad job of it I wouldve put my house on him not winning and the BB producers knew he wouldnt win because his odds were high. IMO, they wanted Mikey to win because it wouldve been good for the show with a blind man winning, but thankfully that didnt happen.

But that sketch wasnt even funny, it was rude and a complete waste of time. At least she didnt make no rachel jokes on friday apart from hinting everytime that we actually have a winner who everyone agrees with, which couldve been true though as everyone did seem to like Sophie.

Not attending BBLB on friday just shows you how dedicated she is to her teaching course, so good luck to rachel on that.

I could be wrong but I have to say that there is often confusion over who BB - as in the exec producers - Davina (her own preferences) and George Lamb (again personal preferences) wanted to win. They are not always the same thing.

Davina was good friends with Rex's dad and often ate at their restaurants it's only natural for her to want him to win firstly as she knew him personally and secondly as he fits the BB stereotype of frequenting the London social scene much more than Rachel did. As a presenter though she should have been seen as impartial as that's what presenters are expected to do. Personal preferences or beliefs shouldn't come into it especially as it's the GBP who decide who they want to win.

I agree with you with regard to the personal peferences of the producers, Davina, Lamb etc, its easy to become confused, because at different times they are pushing and promoting different h/m's.

I think over a series it can be said that many housemates are ''the chosen one''Def last year Rex,Kat, Luke, Mikey and Dale benefitted from a pro bias at some point, this year it was Sohie, Charlie, Rodrigo and in the latter stages David recieved an alarmingly pro bias.

However , what there is no confusion about is who they DO NOT want to win, this is the worst and most unfair bias displayed, it is so obvious in how the producers edit and the presenters get in their biased opinion whenever they can.Last year it was Rachel and this year Siavash, Its disgraceful and an insult to the viewers and I will never forgive Davina and Lamb for their un professionlism and will never ever trust the editing team either.
They should keep their opinions to themselves and respect the viewers for their choices, maybe it will come back in a few years time with better producers and presenters, but for next year I pity the poor soul who becomes the target of their organised bullying campaign.

Give my respects to Rachel, the best ever winner of BB, and at least she knows she beat their system.

Has this aready been posted? Well It can't hurt if it has!
Plenty of Rachel in this clip. It's the BB 10th birthday party.
All the winners before (or after) the party filmed by Pete (bb7).......Brief shot of Rachel's mum saying goodbye (or should I say Jaycee6)

love that video. It was really good to get the chance to meet Craig, Pete, Brian B, Nadia and Anthony as they all seemed very nice. I'd met Anthony and his mum before at the BB9 final but hadn't met the others. They were a really nice bunch.

Oh Yeah, by the way. There is a Favorate winners poll on DS running at the mo. Rachel is neck and neck in the lead with Brian Dowling - yea. She was in the lead yesterday but the gap has closed.

That was a bit of a surreal experience for me. I was watching anyway, and then it was suddently this bit I'd seen before on Youtube.

She loved filming that episode. She and Jeremy Brett got on really well.

Hi everyone

I've been updating the 'Favourite Rachel moments (etc)' page....
trying to replace all the missing youtube vids with working versions.

http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/bb/Rachel_To_Win_BB9.html

There's still some vids missing (ie. most of the ones still with youtube url's), but we're working on it.... maybe we'll eventually get them all back up

Main thing is that loads of the vids are now available again. Yay!

Something to watch anyway, and just to remind us all how much of an awesome housemate Rachel was (judging by some of the posts on this year's 'All-Time Rankings' poll, I've noticed some FM's maybe seem to have forgotten?)

I agree with you sangreal, Rachel is still the best ever hm, lovely girl, kind hearted and really genuine. It was totally disgusting how she was treated by BB and Davina!

Wouldn't it be great if the last series next summer was all of the winners, so it would be who was the winner out of all the winners over the last 10 series. I would love that!

I haven't forgotten - top of my list again this year! She won't retain her crown- maybe top ten again though?

Nice work with all those links - will have to watch some when I get the chance

Thanks Vector, it was my mate who tipped me off with the bet

Can you see Rachel doing an all winners bb after, as you say, the way bb and davina treated her. She'd have to be crazy to do it. Plus Craig was in the liverpool echo saying he would never go back into the house for more than one day as he is too bust and i cant see Kate doing it either as she didnt appear in a single bbbm or bblb episode, so has obviously gone onto better things.
It would be good though as anything is better than another repeat of BB10.

I haven't forgotten - top of my list again this year! She won't retain her crown- maybe top ten again though?
Well it depends on whose fans voted the most. Plus, she won last year and the bb10 HMs were rubbish so i think she'll win it. In fact i might put a bet on it

There's been a fair amount of progresss on this front, and a few extra bits and pieces have been added. It's an ongoing thing.

Cheeks' Poll results are now underway, although hopefully it'll be a while before Rachel makes an appearance.

I would be totally in favour of that even though I won't ever watch another Endemol Big Brother. Not an all stars Big Brother, but a Big Brother based on the most successful contestants (either 1 or 2) of each series. Would this be of any interest to Rachel though? Would it be possible for her as an NQT?
