Well the wedding and the London Marathon are getting closer.
Another £700 was raised for St Anne's Hospice on Saturday night so she is not far off her £1,500 target now.

I never realised that St Anne's Hospice were only allowed 5 marathon places. I'm so pleased that they let Rachel to run for them but it really is more difficult raising money for a local charity than it is a national one.

As for the wedding everything seems to be coming together. Cake, honeymoon etc. all sorted The wedding dress is beautiful - can't wait to put the pics up of her wearing it but that won't be until August.

Thanks to everyone who voted for her in the DS Poll

Thanks for reminding me about the Marathon Jaycee.
I've just put my little donation on, while I remember.

Sounds like the wedding plans are coming on apace.

Rachel on the Facebook group this evening:

Hi everyone,
just wanted to thank you all for your kind sponsorships for the marathon. There are only 79 sleeps to go so not long now. Training has been going really well this year. I was scared last week as my knee was starting to play up but I ran over 9 miles yesterday with no probs at all so it must be fine. It was prob me being paranoid lol. I'm so excited for it this year and I have loved the training and of course the over indulgence of carbs
..............................................................................
Thanks again everyone and hope you're all well,
lots of love,
xxxx

Yep things are coming on well. The cake was the biggest issue as anyone who watched BB9 will know the taste is really important for Rachel.

There were two she liked one for look and the other for taste and she was really torn between the two so we ended up buying a three tier wedding cake which will look really impressive and a slab of maderia cake from the other place which will be the one that she will be eating lol

yep she's not far off her marathon target now. Wedding is coming along nicely too - just completing the invitations. I so hope that she doesn't get blisters on her back again this time - they really won't look good with that wedding dress lol

Ah well, as they say, "marriage is a marathon, not a sprint", so I guess training for one is useful preparation for the other!

Can't believe that Rachel will be 27 tomorrow. This year she's asked people to sponsor her instead of sending Birthday cards or presents. Every 1£ helps. She's nearly reached her London Marathon target for St Anne's Hospice
