Emmerdale - Dianne
Hutchie
16-02-2004
Just a few random Emmerdale "points"

Dianne and her pandafied sister were brought up together as we heard Dianne did most of the bringing up, yet Dianne has Middlebrough accent and her sister a Newcastle one.....these cities are 50-60 miles apart.....how did that one happen.

Anyone any thoughts on Patsy Kensit being the next Kim Tate....strange how her character billed as the next Kim Tate (Claire KING) is called Sadie King ! lol.

Why is it we are seeing a number of "big names" clamouring to join soaps? Is it all down to the success of Shane Ritchie in EE ? Or has anyone any other ideas (OK apart from the cash!)

Thats exactly what I thought when her sister appeared in it, Diane has a Teeside/Middlesbrough accent and her sister has a strong geordie accent.

Please don't confuse the 2 accents and call a teesider a geordie, it can be quite painful if you say it to someone from middlesbrough. This coming from experience!

and when she played Carol in the Liver Birds, she had a Liverpool accent, which of her accents is her real one?

I think it was a north east accent when she played T-bag (what a kids show that was!)

Brings back all the memories!

but the point is that her and her sister grew up together but have totally different regional accents - its the same as having her sister as a scouser and satying they grew up together !!

Its like that in Hollyoaks too. The Dean family. Jake and Steph have northern accents while Debbie and Craig are clearly southerners!
