I'm after a new SVHS VCR with an LCD remote where you can transmit the timer information across to the VCR.

Now up until a few years ago these used to be commonplace, but with manufactures cutting costs this seems to have been replaced with OSD, which I HATE. I don't want to keep having to switch the TV on or bend down at the VCR just to set the timer.

The spec for VCRs, be it in mags or on the net don't seem to mention whether the VCR has this capabilty.
Can anybody else ?

Also, I suppose a VCR with a digital tuner (IDTV) is out of the question !
