Thanks very much. have done that.

Now how do i move recordings into them?

My list of recordings are on both sides of the media screen?

Should they be?

Just highlight them on the left screen and then press move which I think is green.

Thanks guys.

Wife taken remote control, so cannot try at the moment.

When i tried earlier, copy (green) would not highlight.

If i can get it to highlight what happens then.

Does the screen look like the transferring to usb screen with the list of recordings on the left and the usb on the right

Remember i have a duplicate list of recordings on the right side of the media window.

Can idelete the list on the right without deleting them on the left.

Thanks

I renamed some of my folders once, for example the Formula One folder with the name of the venue of the first race of the season? I changed it to just "Formula 1".
The next race created another folder with the orginal name, so I gave up since then.

thanks guys

Have figured it out eventually.

Strange though each time i go into the file manager screen after selecting media the folders on the left pane are shown on the right pane as well.

I have deleted the folders on the left pane and exited media but when i go back in through media and file manager ,there they all again on both sides.

I just thought that recordings would be on one side and folders on the other

This is what is expected when using the file manager view without any additional usb storage connected as the function of the file manager is for either deleting or moving recorded content, the two panes are needed to direct the file (left pane)to the required location (right pane). However you can move vise versa.

Should you connect a USB memory device the view will the be of the HDD on the left side and USD device on the right hand side and it then becomes more apparent to the user how the user interface is working
