Bit surprised to see Snow Patrol there.... don't they consider themselves Irish?

Snow Patrol are Northern Irish & Scottish, therefore making them British.

Anyway more importantly, I had to clear the votes because I person voted for Sugababes 29 times - I know it was the same person because 1 can see the IP address of everyone that voted. So my apologies but anyone that wants to can vote again.

Do they consider themselves British? Don't think they do. They have been nominated for and won several awards at the meteor music awards in the past.

Both The Promise and Sound Of The Underground made the long list. The Promise failed to make it past the 1st round, while Sound Of The Underground made the top 20 but just missed out on a place in the top 10 - they were in a tough group with Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love & Lily Allen - The Fear.

Only some of the band are from Northern Ireland, some are from Scotland.

Nadine Coyle is from Northern Ireland yet Girls Aloud are considered British.

Well of course because 4 of 5 of them are, but Nadine has always been considered Irish.

I just checked it 2 members of Snow Patrol are Scottish whilst 3 are Northern Irish. Therefore, technically speaking all 5 members are British, however, I do realise the 3 do consider themselves Irish so really it's up to yourself if you consider Snow Patrol British or Irish.
