You are looking for a male athlete.

Flyers order = Roger? (as in Roger Wilco and out etc)
Return = Back?
With sigh of relief = L (can't see that!)

Long shot maybe but Roger Black?

Regrettably TC you are icy cold there.

Track athlete (2,5)
Mrs Mills

Could it be Mo Farah

Sigh of relief - ah
RAF backwards
Not sure on the rest
Big Dipper

Bingo, Mrs M.

Flyers = RAF

Order = OM (Order of Merit)

Return the above for Mofar

With sigh of relief = ah

Gives Mo Farah.

Wonder if Treasure Hunt is to do with the programme? Who was on it again....Anneka Rice, Annabel Croft, Kenneth Kendall...Wincey Willis lol....

Pick 'n' mix.....Bassetts, Sweet(s), Candy.....a name of a specific sweet maybe

Or 'mix' could be an anagram indicator...
Captain Timber

Pick and Mix..... Quality Street

Terrence Chant - some good thinking, you are heading in the right direction

Captain Timber - very impressive answer but completely wrong.

Annika Sorenstam - though I'm unsure as to how the surname could fit.

Nick Price?

Nick P = Mix of 'pick n'
(Anneka) Rice - her off Treasure Hunt with the bottom.

Brilliant! Well done DS, and what a fab clue using 'mix' as an AI with 'pick n' as the fodder.

You're in message board nirvana.

You've been around for exactly one month. Then, you step in with an answer that has been puzzling mankind for 6 days. You can therefore safely argue that 100% of your contributions to these forums are valuable, pertinent and accurate. Nobody else on DS can say this.

Of course, it's all downhill from here. If I were you I wouldn't post here again for fear of upsetting the delicate balance of perfection you have just attained.

On the other hand, perhaps you'd better give us a clue of your own.

My first attempt at a cryptic clue. Good luck.

Well done Deadstick and Mrs. Mills - but might I make a small observation - the clue didn't make clear the forename/surname order.

On a treasure hunt for pick 'n' mix. suggested that the treasure hunt clue indicated the forename.
