Success - for a change :)

We get too many negative posts on here, it makes the place look gloomy, so I thought I'd post a success story.

I was away on holiday for two weeks recently and what a shock I got when I returned: my Foxsat HDR had recorded everything I'd told it to, yes that's right EVERYTHING! It even managed to update the firmware while I was away without causing any issues.

Given all my initial bad impressions of this machine this result was, quite frankly, amazing. Just goes to show that although the box can be very temperamental, if you treat it gently it does actually work.

Well, I'm happy with it overall but haven't done anything too adventurous with it either. I haven't even tried non-Freesat mode.

It locked up once (coincided with a non-terminating recording) and that was fixed by switching off and on.

I've had mine a few weeks now and had a totally positive experience.

Having moved from TopUpTV (don't even go there) its a world of difference.

Yes I have to agree. The first week I had it it locked up and I thought here we go,but after about 3 months of use I've had no problems with it at all.Compared to my V+ stb, which has an amazing pq I don't like the sd pq on the Foxsat,I'd say it has a "waxy" appearance. But the HD pq on the foxsat I just prefer to the V+.The Foxsat has recorded everything I have set it.
All in all it's proving a very nice piece of kit.
