I have been asked to save the recent wuthering heights that I duly recorded in hd but on playback it outputs no signal via scart or I cant get it to do so.

How can I archive the recording? Or is it just a no no?

I have a philips dvd recorder but that has HDMI out only.

All too clever for me.

It should only output via Composite video, the RGB outputs are disabled by the broadcaster for HD - if you're trying to record via RGB you will get nothing.
