Does the Humax record in .ts format and if so does anyone use Womble Video editor and can tell me if it has to encode the file to .ps or can do it without encoding?

No knowledge of Womble but here is a link to a recording from a Humax. Play with it and see if you can do what you require with it http://www.4shared.com/dir/18659726/c298acbd/ZDF.html There are three files in the folder, but I guess you're only interested in the .ts file. I originally posted this so folks could attempt to spot the difference between 720p and 1080i.

Thanks for the links, I totally forgot I could down load a sample from the net.

Womble can edit a .ts file without having to re encode it and VLC player can play .ts files.
