The DS Mobile Survey - Sept 2009
We used to do this years ago on this board, but I don't think anyone has for a while so here goes.
Just a quick show of hands 1. Which mobile phone network do you use on your MAIN handset? How would you rate it overall out of 10? 2. Are you a contract, pay & go or sim only user? 3. What tarriff are you on, what inclusives do you get (if applicable) and how much a month does it cost you? 4. What handset do you use, and how would you rate it out of 10? |

1. T-Mobile UK, would rate it 9 out of 10
2. Sim Only 3. Solo 20 - 600mins, unlimited texts & unlimited data for £20pm 4. Blackberry 8110, would rate it 8 out of 10. Miss the wi-fi, other than that its a cracking little phone that practically runs my life!! |

Is anyone allowed to conduct surveys on DS users? Or do you need permission? Just curious.

![]() O2 9/10 18 Month Contract, 13month left. 750 minutes, 750 texts, unlimited data. £20pm S/E X1 Xperia 8/10. Raised edge around edge of touch screen let it down. |

1. T-Mobile UK, 9 out of 10 (great signal all the time, great customer service, never had a problem)
2. 18 month contract 3. Combi 30 + web 'n' walk - 700mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet (£35pm + £6pm insurance) 4. Nokia N97 7 to 8 out of 10 - not as good as i expected it to be, had a lot of problems when i first got it, the interface and blockiness lets the phone down in my opinion, however keyboard is great, and it is superb for internet

1. 3 mobile. 9/10, only disappointed that on my last contract they didnt offer anything near decent for renewal. Otherwise, can't fault them.
2. Contract. 3. £20 texter for 18 months. 200 mins and unlimited texts. Also added on £5 for 1GB of monthly internet usage. Also had to pay £146 for the handset. 4. Nokia N97, 10/10 so far! |

1. Orange 9/10 - Good signal strength along with excellent HSDPA/3G coverage.
2. Contract - In month 16 of an 18 month contract, just had a 12 month extension to November 2010. 3. I was paying £25 a month for 600 mins, unlimited texts and magic numbers. Now paying £30 for 600 mins, 500 texts, Magic Numbers, unlimited landline calls, free Orange Maps (I prefer to use TomTom instead), and 500Mb Anytime Internet Data bundle. 4. Just switched from an LG Viewty to an HTC Touch 3G. It was loaded with Orange's crappy crippling firmware (their only fault), but a quick visit to the xda-developers forum (kudos to you guys), and its running generic firmware with full wi-fi connectivity. Running it on Winmo 6.1 with SPB Mobile Shell 3 over the top. Its excellent - 10/10 |

1. O2 - 10/10 (but then nothing to compare to. Had no problems so see no reason for less than a 10)
2. 12 month contract, sim only 3. Online simplicity 20 (800 mins, 1600 texts, and unlimited weekend calls as an extra/freebie) 4. Samsung SGH-D600 - serves it's purpose I suppose. |

1. O2 - 8/10 - I would give a higher rating if their 3G coverage was better... hopefully this will improve over time though!
2. Pay & Go 3. iPhone Pay & Go tariff, unlimited web and Wi-Fi. Top up ~£10/month for 300 text messages, and £5 of this goes towards my O2 Numbers (1000 minutes/texts to my 10 favourite O2 numbers) 4. iPhone 3G - 9/10 |
