- LG Cookie, 4/10 - too fiddly to use on the move, keeps losing settings

iPhone 3G 8/10 - Everythings excellent, but loses point because of silly bluetooth and another for being a hassle to have your own ringtone.

"Orange 5" which offers 50 texts and 50 minutes for £5 a month but got £50 cashback on quidco, sold the free phone on ebay for £30 and will do the same again after 18 months with my free replacement handset, never go over free allowance so actual cost is £1.95 per month - occassionally I may pay an extra 35p for an Orange Wednesdays ticket but that's it in terms of pay-for calls/texts.
4. Nokia 1112 10/10 for someone who uses their phone to simply make phone calls, send the odd text and nothing else.

With all the money I've saved I've bought a flashy new laptop. I'd rather have great technology at home rather than in my pocket.

Bt mobile, who uses the Vodadafone network. When I first had it 15 months ago, I would have gave the network 8/10, now I give it 3/10 as they have done something and the signal is awful.

50 text and 50 mins of talk time, which is fine for me.


HTC S710, as a phone it is fine, the qwerty keyboard is great. If you want to do other stuff with it like browsing the net it is not so good.

The camera is not bad on it.

But it does what I want from a phone and that is to make and receive calls and send the odd text message, I can send emails as well if i really need to.

I suppose a lot of people would not like the phone if they are into loads of extras on their phone.

02: 8/10. Calls are 40p/min but do get 300 Texts free when I top up £10. Soon to become Unlimited Texts free with £10 top up, and Untl Texts + Web with £15 top up, as well as calls being 25p/min.

Nokia 5800 Xpress Music - got it last Tuesday. Excellent phone, love everything about it. Got it from Play.com - unlocked and unbranded for £199.99. 10/10.

Very good value for money, improvements recently in 3G meaning I get a signal at my house and generally good coverage overall, also my boyfriend and I have always found customer services to be very helpful for us unlike others seem to find.
I sometimes find they lack robustness of coverage (especially beaten by Orange for this) in a few major towns. 3G as a whole needs to improve really but it seems as if they're pushing ahead with this which is good. The only other thing I can fault is that the website especially My Account is complicated and a pain to use.

My original phone with this contract was the 5800 XM which I've sold in favour of a Sony Ericsson C510 to give them another chance, which I found to be awful! So now I have this which seems to be a very good phone actually. It's not crashed once and the battery life seems very decent.
