No, I can't see it happening.

Ref. Jewbert hasn't seen any of the forward passes either.

I missed the haka due to a visit to the toilet. I will make sure I do this at the other nz games.

20 or 30 point margin perhaps?

I always dread when the All Blacks come to town as it's the usual result every time

Let's hope we are up to the challenge today
6-9 after 50mins , All Blacks playing in quite a conservative way. Too many errors from Wales under pressure again.

Looks like the long wait to beat them is going to carry on

Despite the pathetic cheating by nz and a hopeless ref who didnt know half the rules Wales still had the chances to snatch something from the game.

Spirit from some of the boys but other welsh players were below par when it came to attacking what was a dull , dirty, and unimaginative ab team.

Making c--ter man of the match was ridiculous.

They're very creative in their cheating work at the breakdown but until we learn some tricks of our own , we won't trouble them or South Africa. A bit of perspective is needed from today , we got away without being hammered with our makeshift front row. We did well to keep them out for a couple of tries on the call of the TMO , then could've snatched a draw. I thought the ref was OK but not giving Carter a yellow card was a very poor call.
We lacked any great creativity in the midfield , as both Shanklin and Roberts are a pair of bosh merchants. Would be great if Henson can be back playing by the time of the 6nations but I won't hold my breath. If not then maybe Hook at 12 and Roberts at 13 is the future centre partnership for us

What a fantastic win by England over New Zealand. Superb in attack in the first half and strong in defence in the second. That's us against Australia in the final at Elland Road next Saturday night. Come on.

What a great game. Terrific performance by Kevin Sinfield, Sam Tomkins, Eorl Crabtree and my boy from Hull Kingston Rovers - Peter Fox.

Roberts looked off the pace after 1/2 time and Shanks did too later on , I was disappointed with our centres. A few good chances for them but nothing was used to get us over the line. Apart from the wings the back line looked pedestrian.

Two years running we've come out in the second half and played a rotten 20 minutes and let nz take the lead.

Putting that aside Wales still had enough of the game to push what was limited nz side. Nz only showed any skill and guile in conning a ref who looked out of place at this level.

I had no expectations of anything from the Ref or nz so they didn't do anything but let themselves down .

Wales did disappoint me in many areas. Their accuracy , decision making , and even for some, their fitness and basic skills. We can't do much about nz and their constant infringing of the rules and less so when a sh ref will not rule on the most obvious cheating but we can play better than this and not give the opps more easy possession.

I thought it was patchy from the pack , good by the makeshift front row, then less so in the line out and in contact at times.
I suppose the match stats will not make good reading for Gatland and others.

Watched on BBC but changed the commentary to Radio Wales as Brian Moore is a plonker.

I suppose it was Moore who decided that Carter was Man of the Match... Can anyone confirm?

If so, that joke decision is in the same league as the Worsley decision earlier in the year.

Yep he did and I bet he got a bit of stick on the way out of the stadium.

I might even write a letter of complaint to someone.
A strongly worded letter to The Times should do it

Great result in the League game for England last night

On a side note, have the BBC lost the Anglo-Welsh cup games?

.
A brilliant result and I thought the Aussies looked beatable against France - take away Slater and Inglis (OK, it's a big if) and man for man England are as good as they are.

Wales , I'm afraid , you are looking at 40 or 50 points against.

Wrong.

First time since the 70s we restricted them to less than 23 points... I'll take that. For one try to separate us and them, I've got no complaints. We were only lolloping forward's pace short of a draw yesterday, and while I disagree that the referee was poor, having seen the Dan Carter high tackle I don't know why it wasn't given. He was a little whistle-happy on a couple of breakdowns too. All in all, grim satisfaction that we held our own, and was particularly pleased with the scrum, lineout and goal-line tackling. Bring on the Australians.

Almost time to switch codes....I hope Wales can show us more of what they provided last week and put one over the Scots.

Incidentally if you want to buy a Wales RL shirt (which I think look very nice) and you're in South Wales, pop into PureRugby, where the shirt has been reduced in price because the sponsors have changed.

No they won't. The 2010 Four Nations, hosted down under, will feature Papua New Guinea as the 4th team, the Kumuls having qualified from the Pacific Nations Cup this year. France will drop down into the European Nations Cup for 2010 at the expense of Serbia. The 2010 European Nations Cup will determine the 4th team in the Four Nations for 2011.

I actually meant 2011 not next year. Are you sure Wals arent through to the 2011 one ? I am certain Bill Arthur said on Sky Sports that they were. Is there a European Nations Cup next year ?

If I remember the quote correctly, he said "Silverware and glory up for grabs this year - next year something even more special...not that this isn't special itself".

Yes there will be a ENC next year, with France taking Serbia's place, and PNG playing in the 4N.

Not the best weekend for an England and Nottingham Union fan. Nottingham outclassed by Exeter who now seem to have the Championship sewn up.

In the National League, Manchester showing signs of improvement , only losing by 59 points.

As for Dan Carter being given man of the match by Brian Moore , I do think this was a stupid award. It did look like a very bad tackle and Moore was fully aware of this. I hope he didn't do it to try to be controversial and wind up Wales fans.
