A set of half backs playing together for the first time and a pair of centres with zero creativity between them were at the core of our problems tonight.”

Wales showed little control and less discipline, and I don't mean about foul play but about the tactics of the game. As soon as they had the ball it appeared they had no idea what to do with it.

Welcome to the Northern Hemisphere Bokkes. If France hadn't switched off for 5 mins in the first half , I think the scoreline would've been greater than 20-13. They smashed the world champs all over the park. If the French keep this up they'll win the six nations at a canter.

Yep, well deserved.

Frankly a decent Lions side matched the Boks for much of the three tests IMO. SA are not unbeatable by any stretch.

The biggest cheer of the night was for a successful Mexican wave that says it all.

The big final tonight. Let's hope we play like we did against Australia in the second half rather than the first. Unchanged 17 from Tony Smith. Not so sure myself. I think Peacock should be propping and not second row. The NZ pack last week were big but the Aussies are slightly more mobile. Should be a good game. Australia to win by 10

And that's always the kicker for the French.
Consistency? Sacre bleu

Well at least that makes two welsh moves that were finished well last night.

First time for everything , England were huge underachievers prior to 2003 when they finally got things right.Apart from the wc final in 2007 , they've regressed back to that too.

I thought was pretty crass by our supporters , in light of the recent Tsunami in Samoa , to which some profits from last nights match are going towards that country I believe. The ones who started it were probably too pissed to realise that though

England 6-6 South Africa in a brusing first half at Twickenham , 31 mins played.

6-9 to Argentina at Twickenham , England have a chance to make it 9-9 just before half time. Wilkinson gets it.

Wilkinson looking a bit ordinary today as he misses a pen ,
9-9 , 47mins. Couple of other latest scores
Scotland 23-7 Fiji
Italy 6-17 New Zealand being played at a sold out San Siro footy stadium in Milan , all those 3 games in the second half.

Wilkinson misses another long range pen ,
9-9 with 20mins left.

Referee bottles out of giving Italy a penalty try against NZ. That would've meant a 20-13 lead for the All Blacks with a minute to go. Italian scrum has given NZ a pasting today.

Very good hands from Englands forwards and backs gives Banahan atry on 70mins.
16-9 they lead.

NZ beat Italy 6-20
Scotland 23-10 Fiji also a final score

England win 16-9 . They scored a good try but Argentina were the better side for 70minutes of that match. Johnson has a lot of work to do before NZ arrive next Saturday.

Don't be stupid. Football fans maybe would have done something like that, but rugby fans just did something we ALWAYS do when the game goes a bit lax.

Great first 40 in the Four Nations Final. End to end stuff. Ball was probably in play for about 39 of the 40 minutes. Superb game

So that makes it alright , because it wasn't football fans doing it , Jesus wept. Always doing it suggests a lot of those supporters aren't interested or understand the intricacies of the game itself , which doesn't surprise me in those who go to the MS for the occasion.

England RU side are awful. NZ should hammer them.

Australia are a great RL side. The skill level difference between both sides and the ability to play a the highest intensity for 80 mins is so obvious to see.

England need more players playing in NRL.

I think you're over-reacting a little bit here. Yes, some of the proceeds went to the victims of the Samoan tsunami, but it was still a rugby match, not a service of remembrance. People can raise money and have fun at the same time.

OTOH, if you want to talk about disrespectful fans, you could have mentioned to booing of the kicker...

Yeah, them and the irritating PA man , give out the courtesy message once and then shut up. I find so many of these MS staff very annoying and petty. Are they traffic wardens during the week ?
