Even Raphael Ibanez's mother-in-law was clapping that penalty kick ........ more than Johnners would do for the oposition.

Moore: *after criticising the ref for being wrong and having a dreadful match If I'm wrong, I apologise!!

You can take it that after seeing the replay Moore himself KNEW he was wrong.

Since England have had the most of the play the match has gone all dull ...... hence why I have plenty of time to post here!!

Ibanez: I must say my mother-in-law is very committed, however she is not my mother-in-law after tonight.

Raphael buttering up the English audience.

......... and France are Grand Slam Champions.

Well done to France, they never really looked like losing any of their matches.

Well done France on a deserved Grandslam. They felt the considerable pressure that England put them under tonight but just hung on.

Guscott: Martin Johnson is still moaning about some of the decisions to the match officials ........ but the game is over Johnno.

Dalaglio: He may have a point but it's not worth making after the 80 minutes, it's for his players to do that on the field.

Some of England's ex-players taking sense for once.

We shall have to disagree are you are a polar opposite person .”

Brian Moore , if you bother to listen, actually will analise a referees decision whichever way it goes - and from a position of knowing a bit about it.

But don't let your clear anti English bias clear the mists.

Well done to France.

France still have the best looking hooker in the game with Dimitri Szarzewski.

I know he barely has anything to beat but it should still be noted.

But which team played with the ball in hand?

What did France create amongst the backs tonighT?

How can England, and all the emails complain about the referee ....... if Johnny had miraculously kicked a drop goal to win the game in the dying minutes, doubtless the ref would never get a mention.

England maul 15 m from the line. Even I could tell that France no 2 was miles offside coming into the side of the maul. Moore then points out 2 more offsides at the same maul. result England driven back and no penalty. Ref was 5m away - how could he not spot it?

Shame Ashton did not keep his head in the second half and just draw the full back and slip the ball to Flutey for a try under the posts.
Amazing what England backs can do when a) they have quick ball b) don't kick the ball aimlessly away.

Granted England weren't as dull as usual, but they were still dull at times.

Well, you must have been watching a different game to me. France never looked like scoring a try and England should have scored at least one in the second half.

If Wales play lke that we are told they are 'brilliant'.

England have played some fanstastic stuff over many years and still got called dull.

Here we go, it's the 'where did England go wrong' half hour.

Sure, but you said they never looked like losing, whereas they did look like losing in this game.
Unfortunately due to previous crass selection and lack of composure due to the unfamiliarity of ball in hand, England did not take their chances.

I'd be embarrassed if we played with that much possession and only scored one try.

I was laughing at Wales's performance today in the first half. Never so much at a Wales side who seemed to get all things wrong, so much posession but just running into the opposition forwards like they could run through them like butter, but they couldn't!!

I missed the second half but I suspect they played a little better to come away with the win.

If it wasn't for the yellow cards Wales may have won those matches.however it was the players errors, Wales took the decisions without complaining and infact blamed themselves. In fact Kidney/Robinson/Gatland/Mallett/Lievremont haven't complained, just Johnson, and if he did but know it just makes him look like a bad sport and a miserable so and so.

I can't believe that for another year , England supporters will buy a decent one off performance as making progress. It isn't helped by the likes of Inverdale in the media , tonight signing off the coverage by saying "English rugby is back with a vengeance". They've finished 3rd in this seasons championship , surely that's a step down from the runners up spot last time.
They need to be a hell of a lot more streetwise , creative and clinical to really threaten France and Ireland in the NH.
