I can't believe that for another year , England supporters will buy a decent one off performance as making progress. It isn't helped by the likes of Inverdale in the media , tonight signing off the coverage by saying "English rugby is back with a vengeance". They've finished 3rd in this seasons championship , surely that's a step down from the runners up spot last time.
They need to be a hell of a lot more streetwise , creative and clinical to really threaten France and Ireland in the NH. |

Brian Moore , if you bother to listen, actually will analise a referees decision whichever way it goes - and from a position of knowing a bit about it.
But don't let your clear anti English bias clear the mists. Well done to France. I am a great lover of rugby ( played for english clubs ) BUT Brian Moore is a shit commentator. He may know the law, but dont go on about it for the entire 80 minutes. As I said before he is there to COMMENTATE on the game. In old days that used to be describing the action in a manner as to enhance the watching experience. Im from the Bill McLarens school in more ways than one. |

Still remembering the Jonathan Davies moment when he couldn't stop laughing after Wales had just beaten England in Cardiff

The only thing I care about this years Six Nations is we beat Wales. |

It's very funny to see England supporters happy to be average.
The best team undoubtedly won the Grand Slam, which is the first time in 7 years. |

Where ( evidence please ) have I EVER posted anti English bias ?

Moore is the analyst, not the match commentator (what the Americans call the 'color man'). He's the man to give a deeper analysis of the tactics and decisions - both by teams an officials during the game. And he is excellent at that. You actually learn things when Brian Moore speaks - if you bother to listen. Bill McLaren's job was to give an overview. |

I couldn't see the England game , so I've just seen a few highlights, pity , it must have been a good game. |

What a crock of horse shit that Daily Mail article is! Admittedly, I'm not the most ardent of Rugby Union (hell I wouldn't even claim that I understand all the intricacies of the game) fans but I really enjoy this time of year as I love nothing more than to watch the Six Nations. Yesterdays, Super Saturday bonanza on BBC1 was no different and I enjoyed watching every match while sitting back with a few beers. For most Saturdays of the year we're subjected to absolute shite like Casualty, Strictly Come Dancing and whatever other pish that constitutes family entertainment on BBC1, and I for one was glad that Rugby dominated the agenda on the beeb yesterday.

morning everybody
well done France for winning the 6Nations, even though were pretty average on Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed my first every trip to Stade de France and would definitely go again. England put in an improved performance, just like they did Ireland. Which is kinda ironic seeing as they lost both of those matches. Still not convinced that we're making proper progress and didn't see much to suggest we'll do better than qtr finals at next year's WC. I hope players like Foden, Ashton, Lawes, Cole heck even Cips are giving a chance to become regulars. I can understand why Jonno wants a better defensive performance, but we do need to show more/better attacking intent congrats to Scotland for avoiding the wooden spoon ![]() and well done to Wales for a decent victory over Italy. roll on the end of the domestic season and the two European competitions |

A mention must be made of Nottingham's very surprise victory in the Championship play-off against Exeter.
We now have to play against those ( London) Welsh so and sos. |

A bit of drama at Quins were the RU have muscled in on a RL fixture to create a double header. With a gap around 2 hours between games.
Bumped the price up to £25 and most of RL fans from saints wont be arriving until after the RU but still have to pay £10 more than anyother League visiting the stoop this season. |

we lost against Saints, despite dominating large amounts of the match
London Irish thrash Sale Sarrie really thrash Newcastle Bath continue their impressive run meanwhile in the other code Leeds continue to flounder, rumours are they want Smith back (either loan or permanent) |

A bit late but it must be said that the Cup Final yesterday week was a fanstastic game. Excellent rugby by both sides.
Northampton are really coming into form. |

Northampton are really coming into form. I have my doubts about whether they'll overcome Munster in HC qtr final, but they're a good bet for GP title |

they do seem to be on fire at the moment, even if I do think they were a tad lucky on Saturday. They've got a great squad of players and Jim Mallinder has them playing some great rugby
