Oh! Christ. I'm not surprised that the BBC said it was too upsetting to show.

I was nearly sick after seeing that last night. Had to look away. Well done to Sky for not dwelling on it. But Chev last night was applauding the crowd as he went off. Just shows how brave these guys are.

As for the game, we were out played, out classed and totally out performed. Have to wait to see who we play next week now.

two more games tonight. Saints defeated Huddersfield as expected and Catalans surprised the hosts by winning at Wakefield.

The Dragons victory means that we ( Hull KR ) don't know who we play in the play off round 3. Would have been Wakey had they won, but now it is the winners of Wigan and Castleford tomorrow.

Manchester lost by a mere 145 points to 12 to Blaydon in RUs third tier. that's getting on for 400 points in three games. I really think there is little point in them carrying on this season. I'm not sure if there is any provision for them to be relegated a few divisions in mid season , though I doubt it. It would be unfair on other clubs who have not had the chance to rack up a 100 points against them, but surely this situation cannot continue.

Joe

So are this womens team you coach successful despite your lack of knowledge of the basics
Well interestingly enough I coached them all last season and they only won 1 game and as a result were relegated, for the 1st time in their history.

They played their first game of the new season today under their new coach and won 57-0...............

So from that you can come to your own judgement.....

He should be able to come back - Henrik Larsen the football player had a similar leg break when he was playing for Celtic about 10 years ago, and he came back to continue a very long and successful international career.

There is very little on Manchester's web site which explains the problem , other than saying that they knew the first few weeks of the season were going to be difficult!

They say they have a young and developing side and strongly deny that the RFU are going to pull the plug on the team . I would have thought the best thing to do would be to resign from the league, play a few friendlies and try to get back next year in a lower division.

This weekend for me

Ospreys v Leinster.
London Welsh v Birmingham and Solihull.

I can see just one out of two wins there.

Harlequins RL season has ended, very disappointingly.
We finished 4th from bottom, just above Hull. Not only that, but our last 12 matches yielded just 1 win.
Yet again I was right, one win out of two!

A bonus point win for London Welsh takes us out of negative points territory and puts us on a lofty 2 points.

They have no cash, they let the director of rugby go before the season start and are relying on their colts. It's men against boys unfortunately.

A few of my mates from London Welsh have been to Manchester RFC. They say it's a great club, very friendly, a 'real' rugby club so to say. Also, the beef and gravy rolls they sell are amazing.

Sight of the weekend was a Birmingham and Solihull player putting in a clearence to touch, which landed squarely in my pint and split the plastic glass into four pieces!

Chris Czekaj had his femur broken in five places a couple of seasons ago, in a rather innocuous looking tackle. He's back playing.

it did look pretty bad though and there's more weight to carry around in rugby than football

Wasps are still top so I'm happy

Swansea thrashed Llanelli 53 -19 so that softens the Ospreys crap performance blow somewhat.

I know. The Whites are going great guns already this season. They had 3 young Ospreys in their backline.

Interesting that Gareth Owen is playing at 10. Might see them play the Wizzards on Saturday see what he's like. Can't be as bad as Hook so far.

It was horrific but did you see Chev applaud the fans as he went off ? Just shows how tough a sport it is. A footballer gets an ankle tap and goes down like he has been shot

I remember seeing the Chris Czekaj injury on Scrum V and feeling physically sick. Truly horrendous. I'm not clicking on this latest one.

He has kept his sense of humour about it; he has been on a Facebook group set up to wish him a speedy recovery, and posted something along the lines of: "Thanks for your support, it will help me get over this sprained ankle!"

I'm not going to watch it after reading all these posts!!

I remember seeing the Ieuan Evans one some years ago, when his ankle was snapped through and his foot was at a completely different angle to where it should've been. The doctor said his foot was held onto his leg by the skin only. Yuk.

I am with you, i don't even know why papers have to print such graphic pictures.

Having been through breaks, dislocations, and snaped knees I really don't need to see videos and pictures of them happening to others. They make me very sqeemish!

I have to say from a personal perspective, I was intending to play this year, I have played once, but after last season where I had a lot of injurys and concusions I have totaly lost my bottle. I never thought I would as I came back from a double leg break and knee reconstruction, but this year my bottle has gone, I am finding it really hard to cope with as it has been my life for so long.
