England Women have booked their place in the World Cup Final on Saturday with a 15-0 win over Australia.

They will play New Zealand who formidably beat France 45-7

Will be a tough tough game. I have tickets and I am going to the final on Sunday at the stoop.

They managed to beat them in the last 12 months so they know they can do it, will be a hell of a clash.

I don't want to keep going on about it, but the England womens achievment is really something considering they are all amatures.

I have been reading some articles about the sacrifices they have made to compete. The captian had to quit her job as she couldnt get the time off. The hooker plays in a world cup final on sunday and win or lose has to be in work on Monday as a school teacher. As well as giving up a place in the commenwealth squad as a wieghtlifter in the under 69kg catagory where she is current English champion. Our clubs coach is also playing and will be with us Tuesday night to coach our little club for pennies.

There is something to be said for the purity and commitment that go with amature sportspeople and I really hope they get some recognition for their achievment.........Still not sure they can win but I will be there to cheer them on.

Good luck England.

went to Twickers yesterday and had a very enjoyable time (despite Wasps only drawing)

think the highlight of the day was the 10 minute Mexican wave/tray chucking that went round the stadium

on reflection I think maybe saying the Mexican wave thing was a highlight was a bit wrong.

Having read various posts on London rugby forums, it seems quite a few people were being hit by the trays. A couple few who tried to complain were shouted down/abused and the stewards didn't seem to think it was their job to tackle it.

I think maybe the (Wasps) annoucer should have said something over the PA. At least it stopped when Quins their try (not that I enjoyed that)

The Championship is of a good standard, especially in the top half of the table, as Exeter have just proven. What a fantastic win for them on Saturday and I really hope they carry on from such a good start, at least they don't look as though they will be getting 30/40 point beatings every week as some had suspected.

What is Gavin Henson playing at? OK he may ( possibly) need the money he'll get for Strictly, but he said earlier this week that he wanted to play for Wales in the WC next year, but he won't get a club if he is dancing every week until Christmas.

Contract wrangle for Henson

granted it's the Mail

It seems that he is keen to move on, but Ospreys want some money in return

Jake White offers to come back and save SA rugby

gets called opportunistic or a snake by people in the game

personally I think Peter de Villiers should be given a chance to lead his country out at WC. Last year wasn't so bad for SA, so it's not like they've been on one long slump

The WRU are using Gavin as the poster boy for the new Wales shirt. Gavin would much rather take part in Strictly than try and get his place back in the team. It's a bit of an insult to the current team Jamie Roberts isn't pleased.

What are the WRU playing at , it's a joke, Henson in a welsh kit ( which oddly now looks like a Wrexham football kit circa 1993 )

What Gavin Henson has to do with welsh international rugby at the moment is anyone's guess.

I did enjoy Jammie Roberts huffing when he was asked about it.

some criptic (nonsense) by Henson

"It's all up in the air. It's all in solicitors' hands, and it's a pity that is, but I've had to do this now."

He did not elaborate on what exactly was being dealt with by solicitors.

It's just what most people were thinking he wants to play rugby but not with the Ospreys. A bit of a kick in the guts for them since they have been so understanding and patient with him.

We haven't signed him say Wasps

“Further to speculation and inaccurate reports in the media, London Wasps can confirm that no further signings have been made to their 2010/11 squad,”
hmm

He really has treated Ospreys badley I would be bitterly disapointed if I were them. Wasps would be a reasonable move with the Welsh connections there.

I don't get how he thinks he will be in contention for a world cup spot if he has signed for SCD?? Unless he is arrogant enough to believe he will ge the spot if he is fit.

Kick in the teeth for the Welsh fans and players too.

What is this obsession with Wasps. Every one of our problem players gets linked to them. What we want is an Academy at London Welsh not a Young Offenders Institute at Adams Park.

Exeter nearly causing one of the biggest upsets in the history of the premiership at Leicester. They just could not hold on. Such a shame.

They were unlucky not to get something from the match, great performance by Exeter
