And I was right again! 2 wins out of two.

London Welsh 28 -17 Bedford.
Ospreys 31 - 10 Edinburgh.

Manchester are slowly improving, they only had 93 points put on them this weekend.

Manchester 3 - 93 Otley.

Surely it couldn't have been as bad as John Hayes stamp to the head of Cian Healy.

Hayes was red carded, but he should be looking at a lengthy ban. However, knowing the way the RU panel work, no doubt he'll get a "sending off sufficient".

it seems Varndell pushed Ashton over the hordings because he felt that he was to blame for Lachy's injury (which he wasn't)

I think on RN Wasps board they were slating Ashton (couldn't be bothered to read through all the pages). While on the Saints board they were rightly defending Ashton and calling Varndell a tool

not as bad as I possibly made it seem

But of course! Me and a couple of mates will be slowly winding our way across the peninnes with a few stops at various station boozers on the way. I can't wait, although I am as nervous as hell.

Absolute frigging joke, especially Hayes ban. I thought the minimum was 9 weeks?

Some good games in the Championship this weekend . Nottingham are playing tonight , so will go top if they beat Rotherham as they did briefly last week.

We are hoping that Welsh can pull off a big surprise and beat Exeter, who beat favourites Bristol last week. Cornish also lost last week , so the league is much more open this year.

Saints have a massive game against Munster this weekend, Munster got cuffed by Leinster last weekend but that menas nothing, they are always up for the Heineken Cup.

I think you really need to win all your home games to have a chance of getting out of the group, must win game!!

Come on you Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

European fixtures galore this weekend, though it's a shame there's no Challenge Cup coverage

ties that interest me are:

Leinster v London Irish, P6, 20:00
Ulster v Bath, P4, 19:30
Cardiff Blues v Harlequins, P5, 13:35
Northampton v Munster, P1, 18:00
Leicester v Ospreys, P3, 12:45

plus this one from the lower cup

Wasps v Racing Metro

Challenge cup should be banned what a waste of space. Just an excuse for some teams to get a game when they miss out on HC.

true I suppose

I guess clubs don't want their players milling around doing nothing for 2 week periods

though I'm sure Saints fans were glad of their win last season, as it got them into HC this season

No complaints there!!!

Some good sides in the challenge cup, doubt clubs would be happy if there were periods were they were not playing or making money.

Super League Grand Final was amazing.

Also something that football should look up to.

No arguing with the ref, no arguing with each other (until the end) and 80 mins of non stop action.

Well done Rhinos, best team deserved the win but Saints deserve credit for pushing all the way.

Great, Great game.

What a game it was as a Saints fan I was little nervous towards the end but the boys did well

great win for saints against what is Ireland's pack and an all star back line (Munster are a great side).

I think we caught Munster at a good time as the backs looked a bit rusty.

Have seen some of the Super League final, Lee Smith that is off to Wasps looks a really good player.

I am primarily a Union fan but like watching league. The thing that sealed league for me was the 97 Lions tour to South Africa.

Lot of guys who had just returned from League to Union and they were fantastic against very physical Soth African sides, Allan Bateman, Alan Tait and Scott Gibbs were awesome.

My favourite memory was when Scott Gibbs put the SA prop Os Do Randt on his a*rse, i swear Gibbs went looking for the collision on purpose, it was great!

What a game Leicester v Ospreys was, final score 32 all, Ospreys will feel they should have won it as they where 29-16 up just after half time.

I doubt if I'll ever see the O's with a better chance to win away at Leicester than today. The tigers will never give up but I feel we threw that one away , with them missing four key players. Still all to play for in the group with the moneybags French side Clermont playing us in Swansea next week.

Wllll we denied Leicester a home win which was crucial. Still, putting up 32 points on the Tigers' scoreboard may not be matched this season by anyone else.
