There's a report on BBC that Henson's Toulon career 'is over'

Formal statement shortly.

Oh well, it means he can go back to his true love of 'being a zelebrity'.

A friend of my uncle's coached Henson as a child. He told my uncle "I've just seen a future Welsh international but he's a ****** nightmare - knows it all and won't listen to anyone else." Things obviously never changed & a shame he couldn't apply himself like Tom Shanklin.

Its quite sad in a way that it looks unlikely he will ever play in a world cup.

It's only a report so far (statement soon) but if, as appears likely, it's true I don't see many Clubs getting on the phone.

And it's one thing to be full of himself but Henson has been far more interested in his image and lifestyle than his game for years now.

Don't bet against him returning to the Ospreys.

A report in The Times yesterday (by a Welshman) suggested that even some of his staunchest supporters have given up on him - very few left.

He reckons one who is still keen is Gatland who 'want's' him for the WC.

I know more than one Welshman who would be furious if Henson makes the squad.

Miek Cuddy is still pals with him.

Congratulations to Leinster on reaching their 2nd Heineken final in 3 years with a semi final victory over Toulouse.

Just back from Milton Keynes after watching Saints' comfortable win over Perpignon. Leinster will be several steps up in class.

Perpignan were awful! I am off to watch them next week against Castres, it was supposed to be a big game, as it stands I think they are out of contention for top 14 playoff to.

Worcester got lucky against Bedford today, could have been a shock result, I think if Bedford won the final there would be no relegation from the Prem as they don't have the ground which makes the whole play off thing a farce.

I really want th pirates to go up!

Pirates ground is not up to Premiership standards.

Well done Northampton, as a Bedford follower am off to watch the Saints next week. But how daft a game, Leeds could lose, but if Pirates win the next week, Leeds stay up!

Saints & Leinster have been allocated 7,500 tickets each for a 74,500 stadium with a 5pm kick-off and little chance of finding overnight accommodation. Good to see the fans being recognised.

Been confirmed by the club that he is staying on at Toulon now. Perhaps he's decided to change his ways at last.

What madness this is. If a club can't be promoted why is it in the promotion race, if you were a supporter of the team that topped the championship and you got beaten in the convolouted play off system to a team that couldnt be promoted you would be livid!!

There must be a ground they can share down there somewhere??

Was I wrong in thinking Beford were in the same boat?

Bedford were in the same boat. Their ground is not good enough.

Didn't stop them being a top flight side a few years ago.

That is crazy - why do the clubs only get 10% between them? Surely that means that a lot of tickets have gone to neutrals, and then have to be sold on to Leinster and Northampton fans, increasing the chances of ticket touting going on.
Not fair for the two clubs' supporters at all.

Why would they have problems getting overnight accommodation though?

More a problem for the Leinster supporters. Game finishes at about 7pm and then needing somewhere to kip overnight. Not sure what time the last flights to Dublin are, but could be what is being referred to.

So 20% of tickets have gone to the clubs, but Northampton suggested that supporters also try ticketmaster. But European Rugby should have allocated double that IMO when they insist that Quarter and Semis are held in grounds with 15,000 capacities.

its the coorporate machine that dominates now. £250+ per person for a dinner and ticket. SOme big money to be made.

Isn't the real madness that Leicester could be playing at Twickenham on the 28th May in the Aviva Final, 15.00 kick off.

The Champions League Final is at Wembley 19.45. So in a three hour period London's two largest international stadiums will be emptying out and filling up.

Have you ever seen the criteria for a Championship side to get promoted?

Amongst the ridiculous things asked for, include that all gents urinals at the ground must be at least 60cm apart.
London Welsh joked that, if they'd won the Championship, they'd have nominated Twickenham as their home ground and the toilets would've failed the audit!

The Premiership clubs don't want Championship clubs coming up. Just look at the money Exeter didn't get compared to the other Prem clubs when the rules were, yet again, hastily rewritten the other season.

The Premiership has been effectively 'ringfenced' for several seasons now.

I see gavin henson is to stay with that french team he was reported to be sacked from last week
he has been quite a pratt lately all this reality tv has gone to his head a bit and he seems to have lost his focus I realy hope he can put all this behind him and concentrate on his rugby.
he is a super player when he is on form and will be a real asset to the welsh team in the world cup as warren gatland knows.
newport dragons are desperate to have him but the french wont let him go as they know what a good player he is.
he needs to keep his head down and his mouth shut play some great rugby and help wales to a world cup win
go gav go

They are also thinking of signing Cipriani on a short term deal as RWC cover.

It's a good job Cipriani is saintly and would never get involved in off-field stuff like Henson.
