The ingredients on Walkers Ready Salted are 'Potatoes, Vegetable oil and Salt' according to the packet. They are all real things.

Real? I dont know what you mean? All crisps are made of real ingredients, imaginery ones would be discovered by the blokes in laboratories yonks ago and the manufacturer would be prosecuted for misleading the public.

Hooray . I was wondering why my packet of crisps tasted a bit metallic today and had DVD-R embossed on them. I thought they were using a new type of potato

As opposed to artificial flavours perhaps?

So the chicken ones actually have chicken in the seasoning, not chicken flavour?

Or had you not noticed the absence of prawn in prawn cocktail flavour, and the lack of bacon in smoky bacon flavour.

A few years ago Walkers put cartoon characters on these and had to take them off again sharpish - you can't show a picture of an ingredient on a pack unless it's actualy in the product

Aren't all Walkers crisps vegetarian? Certainly the chicken and smoky bacon ones are. At one point the Cheese & Onion weren't though.

How up their own bum are they?

All the ingredients lists say 'potatoes, sunflower oil, *flavour of crisps* seasoning. The seasoning then has all sorts of crap in it, invariably beginning with sugar!

Kettle Chips did it first, and far better. Their vegetable crisps are fantastic - literally veg, sunflower oil and sea salt. Plus, they're a a local company for me
