Sorrell
I have heaps and heaps in the garden as it seems to grow like a weed, which I suppose in the wild it is.
I have used it with fish as a flavouring, but what else can I do with it ? Any ideas and recipes warmly welcome. |

This is good in sauces and soup and is used more in France than here in England. It has a taste like spinach but is sharper so use only small amounts to find how you like it.

Sorrel soup. I had it in Ireland once, it was very nice. I think it's just the usual, potatoes, onions, a lot of sorrel leaves, cream, chicken stock, cook, liquidize. Voilá.

I make sorrel soup in the spriong when it is lovely and delicate. Delai has a recipe that is deasd easy to follow- just potato base, stock, sorrel maybe bulked out with lettuce and cream. Lovely.;
