Ideas for beef stewing steak
I have a pack of this in my fridge and i was thinking of making a quick irish stew with it but does anyone have any other ideas what i can do with it?

I did a wonderful dish with stewing steak. It was one of his Sainsbury's Eat for a Fiver dishes, and it turned out beautifully. Just shoved it in the slow cooker for the day and it was divine.
Cant for the life of me remember the receipe though .... which is a huge help |

pepper pot/carribean stew
I've seen two programs this week with variations on this type of stew. Levi Roots show and Something For The Weekend. Both recipies and programs are available on the BBC website. |

Irish stew is made with lamb, by the way.
As for your beef, you could do what I did yesterday and caramelise some onions, add the beef and throw in some garlic and thyme and a bottle of dark beer and cook it really slowly for hours and hours and hours. Or leave it overnight in the slow cooker. Divine. |

How about Madras beef curry. Or steak Pie? Or a casserole of Onions, carrots, stewing steak and dumplings.
