Live on Radio 1 just a couple of minutes ago Nemone played Jamie's version of Frontin' for N.E.R.D and they loved it.

Shae & Pharrell who are the kings of cool at the moment due to there production and collaborations with N'sync, Jigga Man Jay-Z, Snoop Doggety Dogg, Justin 'punkd' Timberlake and Kelis remarked that his cover was 'sick' (That's good in N.E.R.D terms).

So N.E.R.D think he's a cool kat but what about you guys? He's up for best newcomer at the Brits tonight. Do you think that he's in the words of John Thompson 'Ggrreat' or bland M.O.R scooby doo waa?

He apparently also did/plans to do a cover of "I Believe In A Thing Called Love."

I quite like him, abit different and isn't similar to other artists in the spotlight at the moment.

Loved his performance with Katie Melua on the Brits. Best of the night so far for me.

Thought it was hilarious when Lemar was prancing about on the stage and NERD were just stood there bemused, safe in the knowledge they've got nothing to worry about from the UK.

Lemars a great singer, if he was good looking with it, he'd have a good chance of being big internationally. Still, you never know, Lionel Richie managed it.

I've never really heard Jamie Cullum sing, have resisted the hype so far.

Does anyone else think he sounds like Robbie Williams?

I first heard Jamie on the Royal Variety Performace.. meh.. he's different, but didn't stick out for me! The second time was the Brits. He did a good performance, but not my type of music.

I didn't think Jamie Cullum was "my type of music" either but I was given a copy of his CD and I love it, he does songs by Cole Porter and Jimi Hendrix plus some of his own material and it really is very good. He definitely doesn't sound like Robbie Williams, his voice is much warmer and richer plus he plays a mean piano, definitely worth a listen!

I thought the duet with Katie Melua at the Brits was a complete shambles though, she was flat and it sounded as though he was trying to overcompensate and so it all sounded a real mess Imo, I think his voice would have been better suited to a duet with Amy Winehouse.

I saw the "behind the scenes" Brits show that was on ITV at 11 last night, and it showed the "first meeting" up of Jamie and The Neptunes back stage. I it was quiet funny, Jamie appears to be about 5 foot nowt, and spent about 2 minutes staring up Pharell, saying how much he loved his stuff, while poor Chad kinda looked on awkwardly, completely ignored by Jamie. You could tell he was thinking "look, I'm in the f**king Neptunes too you know, just cause I don't appear in the videos!" . Jamie finally got round to shaking his hand at the end of the meetup, anyway.

I say "first meeting", because is it me, or was these events all rather too "perfect"? I mean, they are both on Universal records, which is convenient, Jamie just happens to do a live cover of "Frontin'" in the Radio 1 live lounge, just a week before The Neptunes do a session in the live lounge. They get it played to them, they go mental over it, demanding a CD of it be made up, and listen to it 4x over. They both just happen to be appearing at the Brits a few days later. The Neptunes at The Brits get asked, "who do you want to working with?" "Jamie Cullum!". Jamie gets interviewed, gets told, gets taken over to meet them, and it all gets rather nicely filmed on camera. Hmmmmm, call me cynical .
