Jill, the guys name you couldn't remember who co-wrote/produced the song is Greg Friel, who many of us will remember from Keith's first tour. Greg was there last night as well.

Just as well you didn't stay for the party.... we all got booted out for a short time as the fire alarm went off

An excellent night was had by all, and as you said there are some stars of the future in the making.

JilI

I have really enjoyed reading your review, you described it very well, thank you.

Keith and Alana are doing a wonderful job with the youngsters, long may it continue.

I will look forward to July 26th.

Well done to everyone.

Thank you too, I thought it might be Greg Friel, he is good.

Pity about the fire alarm disruption, better to be safe though.

Hope you enjoyed your evening!

Thank you Grandma, that was great and it was only the trailer!

The launch night sounds really good. Is'nt it great that Keith and Alana are so interested in helping young people? Does anyone know how the stage school will work? Is it just in the holidays, and how will Keith manage to do it when he is on tour?Speaking of which, ONLY THREE WEEKS TIL OPENING NIGHT! I wonder when he starts rehearsals, got a feeling he knows it already!

Just as well the alarm didn't go off during the show.

I really did enjoy the performance on Saturday, pity that Keith didn't sing more. But, after saying that the kids were great.
And Jennie's performance was brilliant, really liked the song choice.

I also left after the show finished.

Thanks for the Youtube clip, Grandma, looks like a little bit of screen magic, and did you notice that the music was by Henry Purcell?
What a good choice they made by using Keith. I have his 2 CD's in the car and in the alarm radio but it is lovely to hear him taking on something different with such style.
Thank you all for the updates on Keith's progress. Such a joy to know he is doing well.

Thank you Grandma and Dutchlass

A lovely clip, fascinating.....animation is so clever.

I hope we will be able to see all of it eventually!

The music and singing sounds very classical.....as if from an opera.....

Hi everyone,

What a pleasant surprise about Keith and Purcell! I love Purcell and I had hoped Keith would some day sing something from that period.
Keith, it must have been a very different and exciting experience!

Katherine Blakeney sent me a very nice e-mail in which she told which songs from Purcell were used:
- A Thousand Sev’ral Ways I Tried
- Urge Me No More
- They Say You’re Angry
- Ah, How Pleasant ‘Tis to Love

The song used in the trailer is from the last part of ' Urge me no more'.

The film is to be shown on several international filmfestivals, also in The Netherlands.
Thanks Katherine Blakeney for your info!
If it is anywhere near where I live, I definately will be going!

If anyone is interested, here are a few short audioclips (takes 7, 8, 12, 15) found on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Secular-Songs-...7811209&sr=1-2

Keith, I can't wait to hear your full version of the songs!x

I would just like to thank everyone on the forum for their lovely comments on the trailer for my film, The Dreams of Kings. Keith did a wonderful job on the film, reinterpreting and rearranging all four songs to better express the atmosphere of the film and the feelings of the characters. His performance was not only brilliant vocally, but also very thoughtful and dramatic from an acting standpoint. I hope you will all be able to see the whole film on the festival circuit. I will be posting regular updates on screenings on the film's official webpage:

It will be screened in Atlanta, Georgia in the US on August 27th. There are more details, including a link to the festival's website on the film's official page:

Yes Peachy, I think if you were told that you had to wear a loincloth in front of thousands of people day in day out, I somehow think you and the gym would soon become best friends!!
