hehe, just ignore hubby and gie it laldy on friday!!!

Funny you should mention Birmingham.... I am at this very minute looking at hotels in the area

I will need to find out my shifts though before I can book anything

The only problem with Birmingham is it is right before Glasgow, I had looked at Plymouth but it would mean 8 hours on the train again, I really don't know if I could cope with that again so soon lol

Dutchlass any chnce of giving us an updated calendar, I keep haing to go look on previous pages for it

Hi everyone, sorry for my delay in posting but have been at my mums for last couple of days!!

Well, what can I say, really just echo exactly what the others have written, it was lovely to meet up with the other girls again, no new friends this time But lovely old ones (sorry South, that was not a dig at your age LOL!!!) Hey I too am old enough to be his mum but as you say, what a six pack, he has indeed been working hard down at the gym. I agree it was a mature Joe, when he needed that magnificant power in the voice , boy, did he punch it!!! \i think the wait was worth it, Keith is the best Joe for me so far (only seen Craig tho) I cansee him going on to do the more mature power characters now such as \Raol!!!!! Whereas before I didnt think he was ready for them.

My mum loved Keith, if you have seen her face on the photo of her with Keith, well!!! She was also very taken with our Peachy too!! Of course he was rather pleased cos she remembered him from TTN and they had a chat about that.

Had a fab chat with Keith and Alana and Peter outside, it was freezing and beginning to rain, bit of a comedown after being able to lurk in the auditorium or even better the bar for our chats. Still, I dont mind us going down in the world if it means Keith going up in the world!!!!

Anyway, try and get to the show if you can, you will NOT be disappointed, cant wait to go again!!!!!!!!!!

Well, there is nothing really that I can add to what everyone else has said! Keith made an amazing Jo, best I've ever seen (and I've seen quite a few!!) , and I just hope he enjoys it as much as we did! Well worth the 8 hour train journey each way!

And ehhh Molly... Raoul isn't really a 'mature power character'... He's more of a wet mop in my opinion!!

Extract from Bournemouth Echo Thursday 22 July.

"Jack, who has taken over the role in the Biblically inspired Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musical from Craig Chambers (sic) is actually a very good Joseph. His singing is strong, his command of the stage impressive and he delivers a maturity of performance that often belies his 22 years"

Sorry I cannot do the link thing.....

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre

More than three years after coming second to Lee Mead in TV’s Any Dream Will Do, Keith Jack, the supermarket worker who wowed the nation, finally gots to don the coat of many colours.

Making his debut in the show that he is already inextricably linked with, he worked his heart out and eventually coaxed a standing ovation from a somewhat lackluster audience.

Jack, who has taken over the lead role in the Biblically inspired Andrew Lloyd-Webber/Tim Rice musical from Craig Chambers, is actually a very good Joseph. His singing is strong, his command of the stage impressive and he delivers a maturity of performance that often belies his 22 years.

Unfortunately, despite bulking up with a high protein diet and regular trips to the gym, he still looks about 14.

This well-worn Bill Kenwright production has been tweaked to Christmas and back. The result is a production that is good in parts, spectacular in others and just occasionally dull as ditchwater. Where it works, however, it works superbly. Lachlan Scheuber’s Pharaoh as Elvis is a big hit and the ensemble pieces make top rate theatre.

Narrator Trina Hill guides the story of dream-reading Joseph cast out by jealous brothers with some soaring vocal work. There’s plenty of humour, too, including some occasionally malfunctioning inflatable sheep.

A fine cast is augmented by youngsters from the Stage coach Theatre Art School at Salisbury and Downton.

Thanks for the reviews. I found one on whatsonstage.com. I can't do the link 'thingy' either!
Can't wait for tomorrow, I hope the theatre will be full and Keith won't have to work so hard for his standing ovation. Perhaps I should start it off?

Smiler, why don't you wait til joseph comes nearer to you, that way you will have it to look forward to. You could go lots of times still save money and shed loads of travelling time!

PS I've yet to see a 14 year old with a six pack like keiths!

There is a small bit about half way through the blurb about Keith

Southwestgirl, as it stands at the moment I am going to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, but I do like me little adventures further afield in my quest to see Keith lol. Usully I only get to see the train station, hotel and venue of the town I am visiting, but with Bournemouth being so far away we stayed 2 nights and actally got to see a bit more of the place. Would have liked to stay a bit longer but the old creit card wasn't very flexible at the time of booking lol. Maybe I will take your advice.... Edinburgh for EVERY performance

You could try one of two things to find out what shows Keith won't be doing......

Contact the theatre and ask or email Bill Kenwright Productions, I am sure one of them could tell you.

You are in for a treat Redvelvet

Redvelvet, If you go onto Birmingham Hippodrome website and then into 'Book now' the dates an 'alternative Joseph' is performing come up. Mainly Wednesday 2pm shows and the odd Saturday I think.

According to Bournemouth, they said Wed matinee and Sat mat, but it could change so defo check with theatre!!

I listened to Jason Donavons version today, oh boy, no contest and also to Lee's extra on the CD of Close every door, again no contest!!! Keith should have won the contest originally but I think he was too young, his voice is defo superior!!!! Worth waiting for!!

Kezzia, how you doing?????????

Thank you girls. I rang Birmingham a couple of days ago and they assured me that he was doing every show, so I acted surprised and said that all the other touring Josephs I had been to had some shows where there was an alternative Joseph, and she said oh well, I don't know, dither, dither etc. So I was none the wiser.

We saw him as narrator 3 times, and I am really looking forward to this one. But I did love the narrator role for him - far more singing, and the great Pharoah story to sing. I've never been that fond of ADWD, although I can't wait to hear him do CED. I will have another go at booking tomorrow (I need to do it on the phone for wheelchair access for my daughter) - hopefully they will be a bit more helpful/knowledgable than last time I rang.

Right, after a very busy week I'm ready to post my review here goes...
Tuesday, standing in new look when this woman walks up to me and starts talking in what I thought was French until I looked up and realised it was Smiler. Sorry I'm really not that great with accents? It was lovely to see you and Carol, thanks for coming by And then, not long later I see this man walk in and I. Was just thinking to myself, he really looks like Peter, when he turned around and it was Peter again thanks to you for coming by. So as the evening approached I got increasingly excited but nervous at the same time, and when the time came for it to start I actually couldn't stop shaking. The little music bit at the start really built up the excitement, and myself and Molly just kept on looking at each other and laughing. And then when Keith started singing any dream will do, I know the show had really begun. Wow wow wow! Everything about the whole performance was fantastic. The singing, the dancing, the body! It was just all great, And then talking to Keith and everyone else afterwards was lovely. And it was great to finally meet Alana as well And then Thursday night I had it all over again, and it was even better. My friend absolutely loved it and Keith asked us if it was us who kept on screaming, yeah it was. And then next week i'mgoing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and I honestly don't think I'm going to get bored. There's always so much going on on the stage, I'm seeing something different each time. Well done Keith, thanks for never letting down my high expectations of you, roll on next week!

Kezzie..... FRENCH???????? Mind you I will take that as a compliment, after all the French have one of the nicest accents around (after the Scots that is )

Peachy, aren't you going to give us your comments on the new Jo?? Or are you seething with envy at his well built and toned physique??

Hi Yellowjoe,

How lovely to hear from you! Yes, it may have took 3 years, but then it has been well worth waiting for as we all knew that some day you would be more than ready.
Great to hear you're having a lot of fun and loving the part.

Wish you all the best for the next months, keep safe and have a wonderful time!
