I couldn't agree with you more. I've just got back from seeing it at The Hall For Cornwall and I can honestly say it was the most fun version I've ever seen.
I've lost track how many productions of Joseph I've seen in the last 40 years, from school hall, amateur theater to the West End. (

I've even been in it myself as one of the background oo-ooahs (as we called ourselves)). Each production is different, from the slick West End ones to a great production a local school put on using surfboards, (You probably had to see it to realise just how well it worked

)which is pretty appropriate for Cornwall.
But this just dazzled with exuberance. Keith has a wonderful voice ( and I speak as someone who, while never phone voting, always wanted Lee Mead to win the part.) He and the whole company were terrific, I'm still buzzing with the sheer joy of the whole production. Never, in all my years have I seen standing ovations like it at our small provincial theatre, the reprises were many, the cast so energetic, getting amongst the audience till we were all singing and dancing away!
It's probably the campest production I've seen, but that just enhances the whole experience. The sheep and especially the golden chariot had me in hoots.
I've just booked to see it again on Friday, the week is nigh on sold out, but I found a solitary seat and I'm going to enjoy it all over again, it was that good.
All you Keith fans will be so proud of him. He does a great job, wonderful voice and he leads a small but equally wonderful company. If you've booked your tickets -ENJOY

If it's coming to a venue near you and you haven't booked- WHY NOT??
