Anyone had problems when recording " Chuck" or similar problem?
Although recording first run only (set up - at scheduled times/series record) it then goes on to record the following programme which has not been input as scheduled to record or shown as scheduled on the recording listings for that day.
This causes three problems 1. If I try to record another programme on the same day on another channel (which theoretically I should be able to record, as I only have one scheduled recording i.e. Chuck) it tells me I have a conflict???...and when I look in the set-up it' shows it's recording the programme after Chuck, when it shouldn't be! 2. Or - if I am watching the normal TV - it comes up that I have a confict??? Because two things are being recorded (and they shouldn't be!!!) 3. If I'm not at home it will record Chuck but not any second recording that I have input and I get home to find I have 'Chuck' and a "rogue" recording!! It's so infuriating! I have on numerous occasions deleted the series record for Chuck and re-input it again (set up - always at scheduled times only & series record) but this problem still occurs. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Sorry it sounds confusing but if anyone else has this problem, they might understand. This is really really annoying. |

You might need to change the padding option as recording programmes which follow on from eachother you end up recording the same thing twice!
Just set the first recording to stop on time instead of allowing the extra 5 minutes. Hope that helps |

Does the same problem occur when you try to record the programme with a single recording request (as opposed to a series recording request)?

So on the same note, have you removed the 2 minutes at the start padding? Can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't work, sorry

![]() Yes we've removed the padding and to answer "intercept" it doesn't do it when recording single programme instead of series. We came back from holiday and it's now happened with 'Ugly Betty'.... 3 episodes didn't record (they show on the recording list but just come up with a blank screen when played back) and one episode did record. There's no rhyme or reason why one did and three didn't. Any more ideas folks ? Thanks for the replies. |
