Hi,

I purchased an "unlocked" Motorola A835, popped in my o2 pay as you go sim expecting to get to the main screen, but to have some features disabled as it isn't a 3G sim.

I turn on the phone, enter my sim card code and then it asks me to "Enter Subsidy Password". I have no idea what this is... Anyone got any ideas where to get this from, and should this be happening if the phone is unlocked?

3g phones will not work with anything but a '3' SIM, and worse yet, they're tied to the one they came with.... making the phone completly useless.

So why did someone sell this to me as 'unlocked' !?

Think of the word 'sell'... what does it mean?
