Darren Hayes (Former Savage Garden)
Anyone have any news about his second album?
I know its finished recording and should be released in the next few months but thats about it. Anyone got any 'inside' info? |

No idea, sorry, but I'll be interested to hear it once it's out - liked his previous stuff, it'll be good to see what direction he's taken with the new album....

Did his first album do well in the US. I ask because I know Savage Garden were big over in the US.

It didn't have the same success as the Savage Garden albums.
Have found out more information now about the album and Darren's been working with the following writers/producers: Nelly Hooper Mark Spike Stent Marius De Vries So wow!! Can't wait to get to hear it!

It's been a while since his last single. Was it the 1980 Me song?

Oh yeah, not my favourite song (that'd be Insatiable...mmmm!) but it's fun and the video was great, nice to see a pop singer not taking himself too seriously!

Yeah the whole Savage Garden thing was very reminiscent of the 80's. I always thought they sounded like a mix between Climie Fisher and Cutting Crew. Not that I'm complaining 'cos I like those groups and indeed Savage Garden very much also. Not too fond of his solo album, I thought it a little too slow and needed some more up-tempo stuff in it for my liking.

The next one could be interesting! |

I would have loved the title track Spin to have been released as a single The chorus was very upbeat and singalongable if you know what I mean.
The new music is sure gonna be interesting I can feel it. |

Oh yeah I love Spin too - and I was convinced it would be a single, was so disappointed when it wasn't! They should've asked us, eh? Lol!
Ooh I've got the tune going round in my heard now, I think I shall have to go and play it! |

I wonder if there was a change of plan along the way because where an album title has a track of that name it is usually an important part of that album and is released as a single.
Anyway I love it all its the VOICE:cool |
