And all is quiet on the Lee front as he enjoys some downtime after The Love Tour and filming for 'Bedlam'!
Here's a couple of great reviews from the last of Lee's recent concerts to whet the appetite for (hopefully) some more concerts in the summer ![]() ![]() ![]() What's On Stage Remote Goat! |

I found a few reviews of the West End Men in concert:
http://soliloquyblog.wordpress.com/2...men-guildford/ http://www.thepublicreviews.com/the-...ive-guildford/ http://mellowdaylondon.hubpages.com/...dford-Audience I was at the Guildford concert and it was a fantastic evening with Lee, Kerry Ellis, Matt Rawle and Stephen Rahman-Hughes all in great voice. There was a good range of songs and some interesting arrangements which helped to keep even the most well-known material fresh. A particular favourite of mine was 'Bring Him Home', sung by all three men with some beautiful harmonies, and a rousing Bohemian Rapsody with the whole company on stage to end the evening

Lee has just finished a four week run in Jack & The Beanstalk.
In a recent interview, he mentioned a possible album and tour for later this year. He also mentioned that he's planning on going back to LA in March to audition for TV and Film roles. Also, he's hoping for a West End Men tour at some point this year. |

From the Officially Lee Mead Facebook page, news of a couple of concerts coming up later in the year:
Bedworth Civic Hall, Warwickshire, Saturday 28 September 2013 (tickets already on sale here - http://civichallinbedworth.wordpress...10/04/30/5526/) and Camberley Theatre, Surrey, Friday 27 September 2013 (tickets not on sale yet but apparently special arrangements have been made for fans to purchase tickets before anyone else - anyone wishing to book tickets should ring 01276 707600 and quote FANCLUB on 11th MARCH from MIDDAY onwards. Tickets will then go on sale to Friends of the Theatre on 15th March and, at the end of March, the show will go on sale to the general public). ![]() ![]()

And Lee's Facebook page has news of another concert in Cheltenham:
"We are delighted to let you know that Lee has been invited to perform at Cheltenham Town Hall on Sunday 29th September with his own show. We have once again been able to get priority booking for you as Cheltenham have kindly agreed for Lee's fans to call the box office (ticket hotline 0844 576 2210) on MARCH 22ND quoting the reference LM2013. Tickets will then go on sale on 23rd March to the public." Busy time for Lee with the concerts in Camberley and Bedworth the same weekend! |

And news of a fourth concert in September for Lee - at The Platform in Morecambe (box office: 01524 5828030):
http://www.shopccc.co.uk/130926-an-e...mead-854-p.asp Apparently this isn't a tour as such - just a few one off concerts grouped together! |

Lee will be in Panto again at Christmas. This time as Robin Hood:-
http://www.theatreroyal.com/news_details.asp?newsid=659 Also, an interesting article/blog about the TV Casting Shows and their success in finding new talent. http://www.lastminutetheatretickets....tre+Tickets%29 I think the Casting Shows were about getting people into the industry (or making the leap from understudy/ensemble to leading roles) with the goal of career longevity. Hence so many contestants are still in the industry and doing well, years after their Casting Show appearances. It was always a far more realistic proposition than the X-Factor/BGT type shows where it was all about becoming an instant Star. |
