In my case it was tomato and basil soup with hot buttered toast followed by a slice of Madeira cake and a cup of tea - most satisfying.

And what was your midday meal?

A big salad of chunky cucumber, torn baby gem lettuce, lots of red onion, tomato, tuna with warmed pitta breads. And some of my favourite pea & mint dip. Yum!

I never eat lunch at the weekend, or very rarely. I love lunches in the week when I'm at work, but I never seem to bother at weekends - I have a very late breakfast and then an evening meal.

I've been grazing all day, haven't had a meal at all! The only days I eat lunch are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday as that's when I have two four year old boys here who must be fed or their 'energy bar has gone'.

Chicken salad and an apple and two cups of tea

Tommorow will probably be a tuna salad and a yoghurt.
