So both of these singles are out on the same day. People think it will be a huge chart battle between the two.

It's Robbie 's HUGE comeback after (3 years I think ?).

But it's also Alexandra 's hugely anticipated proper Debut single since winning the show. Plus she will perform it in front of 12 Million + Viewers on the X Factor.

Who do you think will come out on top of the battle ?

And if any, which will you be buying ?

It's Alexandra for me, I love her song and will deffo be buying. They both deserve Number 1's tbh, but if they must go head to head, I'm rooting for Alex.

Both have X Factor too. Robbie is confirmed.

Hard one to call but alot will depend on radio but then Alexandra has a huge fanbase but so does Robbie.

I can't call it. My mind says it will be Alex but something else says Robbie.

Be good to have a proper chart battle for once though.

I think Alexandra's song is better. Robbie's is a bit underwhelming for a comeback single, especially a comeback as anticipated as his, even though I think it's an alright song.

I like Alex's song but it's not number 1 material. But then i haven't heard Robbie's to be fair.

Robbie does have X Factor too, but he won't be performing it a day before the release. Alex will be.

It's rumoured Robbie might be on the final.

Robbie will be there to promote his album in November!

There is no live show on October 10?!? so Alex wont be there either!

I thought both were down for the opening live show of the series? he is supposed to be mentor for the first live show according to heat.

Its Madonna they have lined up for final night.

I think Robbie will take the #1. His return is really hyped whereas Bad Boys has been getting loads of negative reviews and lot of fans don't seem happy with it.

X Factor doesn't mean much if the song isn't liked. Leon's single only get to number 3 and was beaten by that crap Peter Kay song. Robbie is one of the biggest stars in UK music ever!

Bad Boys has been getting great reviews from the professional music reviewers - DS sound blog gave it the best review of an x-factor related single I have seen - and the majority of fans are loving it. There will always be people who dislike songs - on other forums Leona's new single is getting pretty poor comments from fans, but you would have to be mad to think it will not sell bucketloads. To compare it to the reception of Leon Jackson's song is widely off the mark, even in terms of just airplay. Radio 1 playlisted Alex's song within the week, they didn't even add Leon's song at all. And the people in clubs are going absolutely crazy for it already, and it is becoming a new gay anthem, just as Scott Mills predicted it would. It is going to be a huge seller for sure.

What ultimately killed Leon's chances was a truly awful x-factor appearance. Alex is going to have an absolutely fierce comeback performance if the video is anything to go by, and rumours that Diversity will be backing her will only add to this as they have a legion of fans too.

It will be a very tight chart battle no doubt, but to suggest that Alex's song could perform as poorly as Leon is just nonsense.

It may not appeal to all her fans, but that's the beauty with Alex: she has two sets of fans. Adult fans who like her ballads and younger fans who like her uptempos (obviously also vice versa, but Bad Boys is aimed at a younger audience, whereas something like Hallelujah would be aimed at an older audience).

Both bad.

The Flo rider one is cheesy and annoying, like everything he does. The Robbie Williams one is weak.

Both sound embarrassingly out-dated, like some cheesy, forgettable, top 50 chart song from the 90's.

Interesting you say this. That would be why Hallelujah sold so much wouldn't it in theory.

Will all the over 25s be rushing out for Bad Boys? whereas you can see all ages going for Bodies.

I still say its too hard to call. I think I'd like Alex to take it though as Robbie gets on my nerves sometimes!

I don't think Bodies will appeal to a younger audience, not when you look at what is topping the charts at the moment. But Robbie has a legion of older fans who are more likely to pay the money to download his music. Younger people are far more likely to download music illegally, so it could be anyones call.

What I think is pretty much guaranteed though is huge sales for both of them.

Ditto. Plus the hype for this week will be massive so will gaurantee more sales too. But I think that would also play into Robbie's hands like you say about older fans paying.

i hope Robbie does perform on x factor the same night as Alexandra, to make things more fair, but i'd be surprised if Cowell allowed that - being his self-centred self, surely he wouldn't want to potentially jeopardise his own artist's chances of getting an easy no.1?

It's Simons's show and Alex is his artist - why on earth would he invite the competition on to perform on the same night?

That would just be an example of the worst possible management skills ever. Completely crazy.

I think both songs are pretty forgettable to be honest. I don't really like Rob and this latest effort of his is so lazy. He knows his fans will buy absolutely anything after three years so he's made a half-arsed effort. With that in mind it would be nice to have the smug, complacent smile wiped off his face. On the other hand ... I really don't like X-Factor puppets (and even more money going into the Cowell pockets). So as much as I dislike Rob ... I'd rather he - out of the two of these artists got the number 1.

Ideally though, I'd love a third party to come along and wipe the floor with both of them.

Tough one. I'd have to listen to 'Bodies' a few more times to start liking it, but they are both heavily anticipated singles and both have a huge fanbase ready and waiting. I can't call it.

that was exactly my point. Cowell uses the show to get the results he wants. he also seems to invite most of the other artists that he has signed from x factor to perform on the show in order to sponge sales for him, whether they won the show or not i.e. Same Difference and Rhydian last year. just goes to show how Cowell manipulates the industry to go exactly in his favour. x factor is purely a vehicle for him to extract sales for his record company. and he does it by using the fact that the vast majority of the show's viewers know nothing about music, and are gullible enough to believe the way they dress the show up as some sort of serious music competition.

Prefer Alexandra to Robbie, but prefer Bodies to Bad Boys. So, tough choice. I'd like Alexandra to get to number one just because I want her to do well, however, part of me also wants her to under perform to give whoever is picking her song a kick up the arse.

I'm not keen on either song, but single sales aren't important to keep a career and I reckon Robbie will come out the winner where it matters most, in album sales.

I'd like to see Robbie get number 1, but I think that all the kids will go for Alexandra as she'll be seen "cool" where as Robbie won't.

I do think that most of Robbie's fans would be too old to bother with buying singles or downloading, I think they'll just wait for the album.
