I think he will have good album sales ... I'd say possibly 2 million by Christmas. I think chart position-wise, he'll only have the one week at number one in the album chart as Leona releases her album Echo the following week. I should imagine she'll slay everyone else in the chart - and if Rob could possibly get 2 million sales by Christmas ... I'm just wondering how fabulous Leona's sales will be.

To be honest, the only person 'slaying' everyone else in the charts will be Susan Boyle unfortunately - you only need to look at her pre-order sales which have been stated as being in the tens of thousands already.

If Robbie's album is on form then I would be surprised if it doesn't outsell Leona, as there is going to be a complete saturation of reality tv albums around the same time for the fans to choose from - Susan, Leona, JLS, Alexandra, Cheryl and Shayne. Also, Leona doesn't have the fortune of a song to the standard of BLeeding Love this time - Happy is not in the same league and is not getting the same reception that BL did.

Come Christmas, Robbie and Susan will be King and Queen of the album charts.

I love both Robbie's and Alexandra's songs. I think "Bodies" is something completely different but I think Alexandra's single is one of the best pop songs of recent years.

When it comes to the charts, I think Alexandra will go to #1, most likely.

I can just see the headlines in The Sun now - CHART FAILURE FOR ROBBIE - even though he'll have made #2!! They said Peter Andre's single flopped and he got to #4!!

Been hearing Robbie's single quite often on the radio recently, not heard Alex once.

The main interest is still in Robbie. Like him or loathe him, he gets people talking.

I personally think 'Bodies' is great and will sell considerably more copies than Alex's song. Same with his album.

Bodies for me, hate the Burke song, not what I expected from her although was never a fan when she was on X Factor anyway.

Alex will be no.1! One Simon Cowell has stopped it's advance at radio, for it not to peak too soon!

I'm interested in really how well Susan will do beyond the 1st week...and how big her sales will be! I cant wait, it's gonna be an exciting time!

No one will have 2 million sales by Christmas. Alexandra will probably beat Robbie in the singles chart but his total album sales will by far eclipse hers.

Does he control what's played on the radio stations now too!

Both songs are kind of growing on me, i think Alex will get to number 1 in the singles chart but robbie will sell a lot more albums than Alex.
I don't think leona will do as well Robbie either, not the strongest of singles supporting it.

Take That sold a million in 11 days. If Robbie equals that neither Alex or Leona will match him.

So while having a number 1 might be fun I'd sooner have the big album sales myself. So Robbie at no2 is fine with me.

The Circus came out on December 1st 2008 and sold it's millionth copy on December 19th 2008!

Also, The Circus was on sale for the first week at Asda for £4.99, and then £5.99 for the next two, and at other supermarkets for under £7 for the period up to xmas....explaining why it became the second fastest album to get to million!

I heard bad boy on the radio today, first time but I only listen to the radio at work and we usually have Xfm on which wouldnt play Alex anyway. We had Kiss on and it was played.

Anything that has anything to do with the horribleness that is Flo Rida is no doubt going to be awful, so I'll go with Robbie.

Talking of Robbie - his "comeback" single Bodies doesn't seem to be as popular as he thought it would be. It doesn't seem to be getting that much radio airplay at the moment.

Who knows, maybe it'll catch on eh!

It's honestly the opposite for me. I always hear Bad Boys on the radio.

The only time people I know have talked about him it's basically to say he's past his sell by date - so who knows what the rest of the public are thinking.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I turn on the radio, Bodies is playing. I've been into three shops since it was leaked, and it was playing on the radio in two of those too.

Has Bad Boys been released to radio yet? I haven't heard that.

i've heard Bad Boys on the radio just as much as Bodies. incidentally they are currently both on Radio 1's b-list and will most likely move up to the a-list in a few weeks.

Since I voted for her, I would really like Alex to take number 1.

But then again, Robbie is just so cute. Maybe they could share the top spot?

No time for Robbie Williams so it has to be Alex and it's not a bad song!

Yup I'm the same. Haven't heard Bad Boys on the radio once but I'm always hearing Bodies.

Distinctly average as her boss would say, is my prediction. It turns out she was the stand in for a better X Factor winner and the market certainly doesn't need two on the go...

I hope she savioured every moment of her fleeting success. The scrapheap dawns...

The fact that Leona has the Christmas release shows that Cowell clearly believes she'll sell more than Alexandra, or at least he wants her to.

Her album comes out in November.

If she's releasing a single for the actual Christmas #1 then she'll be devoured by whoever wins this year's X Factor.

Alex album is out oct 26th I think.

They have to release before Leona, to have more of a chance to get the #1 spot.

As the winner of X factor 2008 she has to release her album in October and the single must be released wo co-incide with the first live performance on x-factor 2009. Her release schedule is more rigid than Leona. All Leona has to do is release at some point during the live shows so she can get a slot on the show. November is not really christmas. Anyway using that logic if he doesnt expect Alex to sell much, it would make more sense for him to release her album nearer to christmas so she could get extra sales over the xmas period.
