Blimey was the whole line-up outed last year?? Fair enough then, they did do better than that!

I can't honestly remember how much got out last year, but I've got a feeling the whole list was printed by a tabloid.

Take the Lead is a great film. Well worth watching if you are interested in dancing

Bit of trivia for anyone interested: If anyone watched Baby Ballroom, the Championship on C4 sometime ago, one of the judges (along with Ray Quinn) was Pierre DuLaine, and "Take The Lead" is his story.

Although I know a lot of people disagree, I preferred "Take the Lead" to "Red Hot Ballroom" (also based on a true story about P DuLaine's projects).

I enjoyed that more that I thought I would. Didn't realise a Strictly Pro was in it. Forgive my ignorance, but was it actually Banderas dancing with her?

Katya (Phil Tuffnel's partner) played Morgan ... the haughty blonde girl that danced the fabby tango with Antonio Banderas (the dance teacher) in his detention class ...

... think C4 were advertising that as next week ... have no idea who Brendan, Ian and Matt are partnering this year ... looks like there are far fewer full time pro couples this year than before ... aaah well, sure they'll adapt pretty fast! ETA ... and to be honest last year they tended to make use of whoever was free ... there were a lot of dances with unusual partnerships, and a lot of dances with more girls than boys ...

I've just checked the BBC site and the thread for the pro tour.....

Katya will be partnered with Brendan i think as Natalie is listed on the pro tour (so must be with Ian) and Matt has Aliona (apologies if i have her name wrong)......

I wasn't expecting much of that film but I really enjoyed it, kind of 'sister act' with salsa moves.

There is a film on tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm but it is called Mad Hot Ballroom, it is a documentary about a dancing contest between New York schools.

I thought Take the Lead was very enjoyable, if a tad predictable as a storyline (although as based on true life, pretty cool!)

Those kids weren't serious hard cases though!

Have recorded Mad Hot Ballroom, hubby couldn't take 2 dancing-based films in a weekend!

Absolutely loved Mad Hot Ballroom, you really get engrossed in how the kids are doing, it was better than Take the Lead.

My post on this topic seems to have disappeared!

I watched 'Mad Hot Ballroom' and just loved it!

By the end I was grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat and willing them all to do well!I laughed out loud several times at their reactions! Some of them had real style and I would love to know what has happened to the kids like Tara, Emma, Zeb, Cyrus (bless) and Wilson, etc. in the 4/5 years since the documentary was filmed. What an eye opener it was for me to hear these children talk so sensibly, so what goes wrong for children as they grow up?

Unfortunately I had 'technical problems' watching 'Take the Lead', so I'll have to have another bash at watching that, but what I did see looked good.

Sounds good, I will have to try a play MHB back before Friday!
Ironically we are out dancing Friday night, so will have to record the first Strictly!
