This might seem strange coming from a non-appreciation thread user, but I am going to miss my daily smile at the names of some of the threads, and wondering what they chat about in Ballroom Bill after all these years.

I don't like the segregation aspect of having a separate section for the app threads, ruins the happy family aspect of the SCD forum. Think it might start to look like a ghost town in here after a few days.

Then there is the off season where probably the only action is on the app threads. I don't think this has happened anywhere else.

Don't split up the family, bring back the appreciation threads.

Dont knock it until you have tried it.

I am happy to have it this way, the appreciation threads are still there just at the top of the page, doesnt take a genius to find them

I mostly post on Non-app thread, but I also prefer us all to be together.

I miss the pointlessly beautiful thread.

Mods: please don't lock this thread or ask us to contact Forum support.

This is constructive!

Seconded, thirded etc - I am in need of fluffiness and love to read the thread titles.

I sign the petition:

SCD Rebel, admirer of pointlessly beautiful and in our hearts forever threads

Maybe we could get them to move all the Appreciation threads back to the main forum once the series has finished.

Totally agree. Please mods please bring back the appreciation threads - I dont want to have to bury into various sub sub forums to find the thread I want each day...

Also I have a feeling that new users will "innocently" start support or appreciation threads without noticing the "appreciation" sub folder.

It took me 9 months after I joined to see the Dancing with the Stars sub forum.

We want to stay together....

Also the main strictly forum will be like a ghost town.....

It's not finding them that's a problem, just think it will make the main page look a little sad and underused with everyone gone.

And what about Dreamy Gethin...and Luscious Lilia....

It's like vandalism!

They're being strangely selective about it too. There are at least a couple of Appreciation threads that are still on the main forum - probably because they don't say Appreciation in the thread title lol. Or maybe it's because they both have the same first name!

And nor does it take a genius to have a look on page 2 or whatever to find the thread you're looking for, so whats the point in moving them? If any were to be moved it should have been the Discussion threads that we end up with numerous of...all on the same subject!

Also not to "unnecessarily" di** the Warm and Tranquil room thread or the SCD Rebels thread (coz I actually look into both on occasion) ... but what relevance has this at all to Strictly.... If any thread should be moved its these ones.

Ive just scan read the last page of the WTR thread and there is only one "miniscule" mention of Strictly in the whole page. I don't know how this can be relevant to the main Strictly programme forum.

(sorry Warm and Tranquillers but its just my opinion!)

This is why the segregation doesn't work.

After a while, the title and the contents can have nothing to do with each other.

I liked it all together... I admit to occasionally lurking in the odd app thread, but not posting.
Don't think i'll do so much of that now.

Yeah, from now on if you want to appreciate someone just dont put the word 'Appreciation' in the title and your fine to stay on the main page.....

I might start a 'Pink and Fluffy for Flav' thread and see if it gets shifted!

I've no idea who inhabits the WTR thread, but I'm sure they're all Strictly fans and contribute to other threads. Nothing wrong with having a 'home' thread to chat in, especially in a forum of this size where it takes a nano second to find any other thread you might be interested in. WTR is part of the wall paper, just like the App threads.

I don't think it makes one blind bit of difference to be honest.

It's one more button press to get to them. Big deal. It doesn't take away from the atmosphere at all. I think it will however help to encourage other debate and will stop other threads getting swamped.

With an appreciation thread for each couple and then ones still active from previous years it was getting a little unmanageable.

Now, all the general discussion is in one place and the specific appreciation threads are in one very easy to find area. People who aren't interested in the appreciation threads don't have to wade through dozens of them to find another topic and people who are know exactly where they are.
