I was just trying to lighten the mood somewhat.

What is RTV by the way? probably something silly thats now going to show up that I am not worthy.”

RTV = Reality Television

If that makes us feel cliquey to others then that also is perhaps understandable and draw your attention to us 'feeling like family'. I cant really say how that can be changed, however I feel strongly that OUR views are just as valid as anyone elses......and by re-organising the forum without any consultation our views have been ignored.....hence this thread.”

I have to say that you have captured just how I feel, Jan.

We're in the attic. Be careful coming up the ladder.

*Ironic. I post in an attic, the pc is up here. And now I'm posting in a virtual attic. I think by this series end, I'll be bonkers.

If you go to top of page and were it says Appreciation it's in there somewhere. Good to have priorities

Easy to find the one you are looking for (if indeed you are looking for an AT)

If you dont like them - dont post in them

Simples!

I dont see what all the fuss is about really *puts on hard hat and waits for backlash*”

I think its a fine place for the AT threads
They are all there together in a sub forum at the top of the forum page, easier by far to find and it leaves the front page for the latest news
IMO the best place for all forums to have their AT threads, its just that some dont seem to like it on this forum

Even chatter isi n a sub forum on the GD page and that isvery popular

Really pleased that the mods have done this. When the show is on I enjoy discussing stuff that is currrent and it is going to be great being able to find the up to date current discussions on the front page at a quick glance when passing through - YIPPEE.

No, I’d rather they didn’t come back tbh
I’m delighted to see the back of them! Their absence from the main forum will help the forum remain relevant and ON TOPIC.
Nice one mods

The forum management position is understandable. It is for your own benefit.

The appreciation threads feel like private Internet Messaging clubs, a closed shop, largely feminine in tone and have a lot of material about the writers themselves irrelevant to outsiders. To the outsiders the uncritical tone and the irrelevancies do not make stimulating reading.

Seeing as they want a cosy waffle with familiar names the "appreciators" are better off being protected by that extra click in their own forum. Don't underestimate the strain that will come with the deluge of largely young people who will join with the new series, gratified to get their names on the screen and have people react to them.

LOL! Mimi and I are old friends, although she did lock me in a broom cupboard once for a whole weekend in an attempt to sabotage Mamaboogie's attempt to win 'I'd Do Anything' (don't ask - it's a long story)!

One for the Mods. Is it me, or has there been a distinct falling off in overall traffic since the App Threads were moved??

Bring back the App Threads! I'm just back from a few days holidays and wondered where they'd all gone. I like Buddy's idea of moving the older ones, as a compromise
