From BBC Strictly on twitter - Info on how to get tickets for Strictly in Blackpool will go up on the www.bbc.co.uk/tickets site soon

So I don't think you'll need a special link - it'll be a free for all. Nice BBC, very nice. Tw*ts

Lol, I also like what they've done on the tickets website - states on ALL dates - please note that times and studio locations are subject to change (or something along those lines - can't get on now)

havng a twitter "debate" with BBC Strictly about the fiasco with the Blackpool date - they said that there will be more tickets for Blackpool than TV Centre - fair one but probably a hell of a lot more people will now apply essentially possibly shafting all those that applied in the first place, snotty email to BBC in the planning

I got told that the Blackpool tickets were separate and we'll get told how to apply next week........I can tell that this is going to be a shambles and I have a feeling they're going to let everyone apply whether they've applied for other dates or not cause they've answered all my other questions bar that one!!

I initially applied for 7th November when it wasnt stated that it was in Blackpool..it was just one date out of all the dates that Strictly is on.

I THEN got an email to say that the 7th November would now be in Blackpool and I could either reapply for ANOTHER date (obviously in London) or reapply for Blackpool when the Blackpool draw opened (which incidently was about two/three weeks ago).

When I went to look on the website where I originally picked my dates, I noticed that the 7th November was no longer available for anyone else to pick (i.e. they had obviously taken everyone who had originally picked that date, written to them about Blackpool and then from THAT group, the draw would be taken).

Now I'm not so sure, if people are saying that the draw opens tomorrow..I'm a bit confused! Someone else on another thread has just received THEIR email to say they've got tickets (which sort of makes sense if you go by my original thoughts and discounts the theory that the draw is yet to open).

Everybody was allowed to apply for the Blackpool date. Applications to apply for Blackpool whether or not you applied for the 7th November originally were opened about a week after you received that email telling you of the change and stayed open until (I think) the Monday after the first weekend of Strictly started (hope that makes sense). During that time, applications could have been recieved by anyone - whether they had applications in for a London date or whether they hadn't even put one in. Shambles and unfair practice by the BBC as their "applying for one date only" was a complete lie.

Oh and I'm back and back for good in the SCD forums

Hmmm am a bit annoyed now! If I'd have known that I would have applied for every single date going!

lol, well you couldn't apply for every date - just one London and then the Blackpool date - basically you'd have London as your back up should you be unsuccessful in Blackpool. And yes it would have been nice if the BBC had told us this before hand, which is why I've taken it further

Sorry to upset people - I actually received the email yesterday - just didn't know til this morning. Nobody else has been on to say they have received theirs so maybe they havent all been sent out yet.

Don't know how many are being sent out, but my two are numbered in the 600's

I just got a message on twitter to go to www.bbc.co.uk/strictly for free tickets for dance events in Blackpool. I don't know what they are but thought those of you interested in Blackpool might like to take a look.

I think they've sent out all notifications yesterday. My tickets are in the 300's - does it make a difference though? My take on it is that it is first come-first served. I'm not sure what time to start queuing though - any advice from people who've been before?

I suspect that the celebrity count will be down a bit (unless Craig is still in and the whole of Corrie have a trip to B'pool!!), so the number of people getting in should be fairly good - not sure how many they fitted in the Tower Ballroom last time.

They seem to be fitting around 290 in the BBC Studio at TV Centre this year (which is more than last year!) so it's bound to be a lot more at Blackpool.
