Just got my first contract phone, no network details?
just got my phone but only received the sim card. no details from the network or anything. just a sim card and cannot register it online cos they are asking for account number.
Is all the network stuff going to come afterwards? got it from mobiles.co.uk and its with vodafone also any chance if i ring vodafone now they will let me port my number cos i heard they dont port it once you're in contract with them. |

I can't help on the 1st point, but on the 2nd - yes, you'll need to do the port now as once you're up and running properly they don't allow you to port in.

and now looking through my phone settings there seems to be settings already o#in the phone of t-mobile.gprs and mms settings.
and there was no void or opened sticket on the phone box. and it was slightly damaged from behind aswell edit: wrote them a email now lets see how they respond. i ordered a nokia 6700 classic n line rental. upon arrival it seemed like it had already been opened and the box was damaged. once i opened the box and took the phone out there were dried fingerprints on the phone. i thought maybe the person packaging it might have touched it. no problem. when i switched it on i found t-mobile settings inside the phone in the gprs and mms menu. the phone is meant to be brand new and on vodafone, also i receievd my sim card but no details of any kind about my line rental and my account number and anything like that whatsoever. just the sim card. but that is minor thing and i am very concerned that i was given a used phone and would like some sort of answers for this. |

Hi hardtarget,
Have you received a reply to your email yet? If you, you might like to know that there is a Mobiles.co.uk representative on Money Saving Expert Forum who you may wish to send a PM to for further help with this. In regard to porting into Vodafone you'll need to provide your PAC at the point of sale in order for to get through successfully. All the best. Lee Web Relations Team Vodafone UK |
