I have a freesat+ system and was wondering if there is any way I can legitimately get the sky free channels on my Humax Freesat+ system

I have tried the latest cards in both Dragon and TRex CAMs with the response "card not recognised" and all other satellite and hacker forums are reporting the same thing. I doubt personally whether the software will ever be rewritten to allow Sky card use as most of the programmers/hackers have moved on to other things. The only non-Sky boxes that Sky cards work in are Linux based receivers with the right software.

Thanks Dave, seem to have cocked up the link to the thread with a similar reply to this

Not sure what you mean by "Free Sky channels". I have tuned in non-freesat channels on the Astra 2a/b/c Satellites by using the 'manual tune' option on the Freesat box and then entering the frequences of the transponders I which to see. See the listing of the Satellites transponders at http://www.flysat.com/28east.php

He probably means channels such as Fiver, Five US, Ch4 HD etc etc which are Free to View (FTV) on Sky, i.e. encrypted but free.

This is as opposed to Free to Air (FTA) which are not encrypted and available on freesat and other FTA boxes.

Only for as long as Sky allow them to work. I'm still using mine in a Diablo CAM. It still needs putting back in the Sky box every now and then to re-activate it but at the moment it's still working...
