Update arrived overnight , I have now connected TV via HDMI as vision links via RF throughout the house I have never tried it before.
Is it normal for the sound to be alot quieter via HDMI , I have had to turn TV up by around 10 compared to when watching via scart. Many Thanks

Sound on my friends box was ok on HDMI, not as loud as the sound from the T.v internal tuner, but ok all the same.

I have no idea about after the update as her box have not been updated and since it is now disconnected I doubt it ever will be, but if the sound is very low then maybe it is a bug with the new update, but someone who else who have had the new update will have to tell you that.

If they started updating the boxes on the 18th August at 20000 / day thats over 1/2 million so far and they have still not updated mine. How many boxes are there?
I've had BT Vision since it started, must be nearly 3 years now and have never been able to use the HDMI O/P without constant fault banners on screen although Freesat and Panasonic HD Receiver works perfectly OK.
I was looking forward to this long awaited update on the assumption it would cure all my problems.
Are there still people waiting?
I would have thought BT would have updated the software starting with the oldest boxes first, seems the simplest and fairest method, but no!

EAH,
I have had my box since the beggining. BT employee trail.
It's probably your telly or the cable which is stopping your HDMI. Mine has always worked perfectly with my Panasonic plasma of 2 years. Only scart on my old Sony.
Still no update, though.

I have the update and the HDCP link error messages that had been there from the start are no longer there.

My installation dates from January 2007 and the t.v is an L.G
from the same time.

In my case it seems the update has fixed the HDMI error issue.

I've had mine since the self-install trial and still no update this time. Last time there was an update I got it in 1.5 weeks.

Either they are doing newer boxes first or they missed out some of the older ones in their list.
